  2. Evening, Deb, how's the 'w' word tonight? What a gorgeous orangey kitten!

It was pouring down again all day today so I did some more wood stripping. I am at that dispiriting stage where you think you'll NEVER get it finished and you're just about to give it all up and paint everything white, lol... Didn't do anything else exciting and there's nothing on telly so I might actually try to go to bed early tonight and get up at a proper hour tomorrow...

How was your day? Better than mine, I hope!

  3. Hi all. Weather was miserable this side of the hill too, Jcat. I caught up on some magazine reading and sleep. Got a busy week of w%$k ahead of me.

  4. Evening ladies! Wish it would rain here, lots of lightning though off in the distance and the winds are picking up, so maybe....at least its a tad bit calmer tonight than last night...

jcat, i know the feeling of thinking you will never get finished, my garage is at least making headway, unpacking boxes from my LAST move! Trying to do some every day and so far its coming along better.

KK, thinking of catching up on magazine reading myself, now if only the guys out on the radio would cooperate and be less chatty that would help....

  5. I saw it wasn't too good on the coast either, KK. Tee hee, I'm not sure at this stage if I've got any work ahead of me this week or not. Not sure which is worse, too much or too little...

Oh, those chatty Cathies of yours, Deb, don't they know you have magazines to read and TDK to talk on, lol...

Unpacking from your last move, wow, now I know someone who'd say, if you haven't needed it for six months, give it to the Sally Army... But I can't be that ruthless...

  6. I have New Yorker magazines that date back about 3 years waiting to be read! My inlaws send them to us and they are so good to read that I never manage to stay ahead of the pile. Every article is interesting so it can take an hour or so to get through each one.

  7. Ahhhh, KK, that is my idea of heaven... a stack of unread magazines and books..

  8. Something to smile at....modern technology.... http://comics.com/speed_bump/2009-10-17/

jcat, lol half the stuff in my garage belongs to the kids...all kinds of stuff from when they were growing up, Mom you can't throw those away things....Now they have to come and get their stuff or decide on what to do with it...the closet is closing, haha.

KK, i get like that with magazines too, find good ones and want to really read them rather than just flipping thru them.

  9. Ooh, I think you and MS and my parents might have a lot in common, Deb... They're still storing all my brother's stuff (and a leetle bit of mine, blush)...

  10. Your drafts of the great Kiwi novel, Jcat?

  11. jcat, lol sometimes it just seems easier doesn't it....

  12. Tee hee, nope, those went in the council rubbish bin a long time ago, KK...

  13. Well I'm off to bed - got a date with an alarm clock at 5.30am. Sleep (and work) well all.

  14. Nighty-night, KK, sweet dreams, sleep well... Hope Ringo doesn't bring you a surprise pressie in the middle of the night...

  15. KK, g'night and sleep well.

  16. Evening Jcat and Deb. Just had a brief chat with KK and wished her good night. We had a day with heavy falls of rain and then sun then the rain again.

  17. Evening MS. Will the rains be good for your newly planted veggies?

  18. Hi, MS, how was Airy's birthday? Were the hot pools nice?

Posted 5 months ago by jcat #

  19. The hot pools were great, according to those who went in and submerged themselves up to their chins, it was pouring with rain at the time. It was hard to see them for the steam coming off the water. The rest of us sat in the cafe and drank cappuccinos. Later on Airy, a cousin and I went to the cinema then we came home and had a BBQ with Meegz and A-man. A bit cool for BBQing and the gas bottle ran out but we had fun.

  20. That sounds like a lovely day, MS. What film did you go and see? There seem to be lots of good ones on right now.

Posted 5 months ago by jcat #

  21. It was 500 Days of Summer, Jcat, a romantic comedy I suppose you could say. Entertaining, and funny but very light. However that was what Airy and her cousin wanted to see. I enjoyed myself and the popcorn was good.

  22. Wasn't that the movie about the girl named Summer? The rest of the day sounded enjoyable, haven't been in hot springs myself since being a kid.

  23. I've seen and heard some good reviews of that one, MS. I'm glad you all had fun.

Jasper is insisting on sleeping on the couch in the living room, despite the fumes, you would think that cats, having a much more sensitive sense of smell than we do, would be even less able to bear it than I am. I am a bit worried about it... what is wrong with the boy?

  24. jcat, he is male? That should just answer it all....my males are all about brain dead at times, but they do keep me laughing!

If you get the chance see Sunshine Cleaning, not bad about a young woman who starts a business doing crime scene clean-up.

  25. That's the one Deb. Guess where Shadz is? Tucked up in the bed with Airy. All she needs to say to Shadz now is "bed time" and Shadz will sometimes beat her up the stairs. Apparently this afternoon Shadz climbed into a tall shrub we have and was playing with Meegz through the branches, they had fun together too.

    Posted 5 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  26. Deb, how did you guess? He has the whole of my bed to sleep on, if he wants to, but no, it's got to be the sofa...

Deb, that one's definitely on my list...

Posted 5 months ago by jcat #

  27. Awwww, MS, Shadz loves her Airy! That's so cute.

Posted 5 months ago by jcat #

  28. I want to see Sunshine Cleaning sometime, it sounds great.
Yes, Shadz really adores Airy, it's so funny watching those two together and so sweet.

    Posted 5 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  29. Does Mr MS have to be up at sparrow fart again tomorrow MS?

Posted 5 months ago by jcat #

  30. Shadz sounds like she is making the most of having 'her' Airy home. Doesn't surprise me at all that she is tucked up in bed with Airy.

Got the movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past today from NetFlix, so much easier than buying the dvd's like I have done for years.

My cats have the whole house to sleep in, but they normally end up wherever I am, or in the living room finding the best sunray spot to soak up the warmth.
