Yay! Today is Maddie's big Birthday party and I am sure CM is too busy to visit us. A fully loaded buffet is set up as well as there is cake and ice cream for the party. Come join us and have some yummies for your tummy!

Anyone out there this morning or are you all sleeping in?! Its so cold here, a hard frost last night. I almost froze going out to get the Sunday paper! Don't worry I covered my head completely before I went out! My head is really sore along the wound site. My blob of fluid is back and my head hurts only minimally so far! YAY

MC how are you this morning? Have you called the doctor about the blob of fluid? Even though your head only hurts slightly I think it's important that he knows.
KR yuck, I hate this rain. This has been a really "bleh" past few days here in the city, hasn't it?
Woke up this morning and finally over the fever part of my sickness, nose is less stuffy, but my stomach got upset three times! Arghhhhh. Hopefully this is my body's way of getting rid of whatever virus is in me and I'll be all better soon. Nothing exciting planned for today. Just some homework and getting around for tomorrow. Midterms time is comimg up quick!

I don't mind the rain so much in the suburbs but around here it drives me nuts. People plow you with their umbrellas and take up the entire sidewalk walking super slow and its impossible to get around them on such tiny sidewalks! I also like the rain a bit better when it's warmer. Too cold for me :( When it's cold I like it to snow, not rain. haha. but oh well, nothing you can really do about it.
Mike and I were supposed to go on my last birthday present (an overnight trip to an outdoor museum/park and a winery) last night but we canceled the reservations and stayed home because it was too rainy and bleh to go and I still wasn't feeling well.

I do agree about umbrellas in the city, it's another way that New Yorkers find to be really rude to each other. I'm always glad I wear glasses, because otherwise I'd be afraid of getting an eye poked out just walking home from the subway.
Can you imagine being at the Yankee game last night; cold, wet, yuck, and it lasted until 1 something in the morning. Bleah.
Sorry to hear your plans got canceled; will you be able to reschedule?

I think its kinda funny FF went to Atlanta for a Chicago Bears game thinking it would be nice weather. He said he is freezing his butt off and might as well be in Chicago watching the game. HA! Serves him right for being gone when my head is leaking! :P Hope you ladies have a good day planned. It is a winter wonderland outside, hard freeze.

Kilroy, yikes I can't even imagine how it would be to be there. There are some die hard fans though who love it! They gave us a full refund at the hotel and luckily we didn't purchase advance tickets to the winery or museum; we were just going to buy them when we got there. We are visiting my parents next weekend, staying in the city for halloween the weekend after that, visiting his parents the weekend after that one, but then the 2nd weekend in November I think we are going to try to reschedule the hotel and go then.
MC do you have snow? or is it just cold?

The rain has been all around us all weekend, not quite the rainy weekend I was looking forward to, but drizzly enough for me to use it as an excuse to read and do indoor stuff.
Leela just got out of the bathroom where she was sequestered for a while. She's been up on the counter and standing on the keyboard a bit much, so she got a time out. She's up on the butcher block now, which is not as bad, since the window where she watches her birds is there.
Miss Leela "helped" us make the bed last night - what a riot! She kept attacking the sheets so we had to stop and play with her while she was under the covers. We all had a good time making the bed, even if it did take a really long time!Posted 1 month ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Hehe - I vaugely remember Jiggs and Shaddo going thru this phase! I can see it now - someone will ask "wow, that's some scratch you've got." "Yeah, I got it making the bed." No one but cat people understand that one!

I'm tired as usual. Yesterday I worked, walked dogs and then played tennis with XBF for an hour and a half. Then got a text from GG later on suggesting that we go play tennis at night. I didn't want to tell him I'd already played since he reall wanted to play. I gave Bobby his pill and walked the dogs and then met GG at the tennis courts he uses and played from 8:30 to 10:00. We had a lot of fun. He's not that good, but he sure tried! These courts are kind of deserted on a college campus and there were noone around except for a snake I got within a foot of stepping on (thank goodness GG grabbed my arm or I would have!) and a bunch of raccoons.
From the courts, we went to Chili's for a very late dinner and a couple of beers. After that we went to his house and hung out with his brother for a bit.
I think I got to sleep around 1:30 and then had to get up at 7:30 to go walk the dogs. Yawn!I've already walked dogs, cleaned up dog-sitting house (they're returning today), fed the boys and given Bobby his pill and gone to Target. I'm now starting to think about a nap.....

Oh GD,glad you didn't step on the snake! YUCK! I am hanging out AGAIN and resting. I need to take the Halloween candy for work out and lock it up in the car. I am gonna eat the whole bag. I know its bad for me, really doesn't taste good (next to Cadburys) and is unwanted calories. Its mindless, boring eating. Girls are spunky today, beating the poop out of each other. At least Wilma is fighting back!

*gasp* I can't believe it but my tire held air after being pumped up yesterday. I have intertubes with "slime" in them and I guess that the slime sealed the leak. For how long is the million dollar question!
I'm sort of tired, too, today. I have been having the most bizarre dreams and I wake up more tired than when I went to bed. Last night I dreamt that we were at war and it seemed to be with Germany. Mr. WWM and I left town because I was so frightened of the bombing. Only for some reason he was walking and I was riding my bike. We were going through a big park and came upon a bunch of people listening to a concert and so we stopped to listen, too. At the end they played the National Anthem and of course all of us stood up. Immediately these Gestapo looking people marched out and rounded up everyone who had stood up, knowing that we were Americans. Then some scary looking woman started barking out orders in German and we were all marched away but I don't know to where.
I've really got to think about what I eat before bedtime!

A little calico slices a corner HUNK of chocolate cake and scoops up chocolate ice cream for Cheri. She scoots off into the wormhole to make her delivery and get some luvin'. Wow, WWM, those are some crazy dreams. I have had crazy dreams lately but I blame them on my messed up head! Hope your tire holds out/up!

one time i had a recurring nightmare all night long. i would wake up terrified, get calmed back down, went back to sleep, and continued the same nightmare. this happened to me 3 or 4 times during the night. at one point i was wondering "do i dare go back to bed ?"
fortunately, it only happened the one time, but it was scary !!!

Cheri, I have had that too. Unfortunately mine was when my dad was dying. We were all holed up in the ICU "special" room. You know the room where they stuff you when your family member is going to die and soon. I kept dozing off and having this nightmare about walking around outside with my dad. He was ghostly white, wearing his hospital gown and a big red, Mr. Rogers cardigan. He was hooked up to all his tubes and IV's and vent and dialysis and they tubes were just hanging everywhere. He kept telling me he was leaving but he scared the he** out of me because of the way he looked and sounded. I would wake up, then doze back off and there he was again. I fought myself to stay awake but after 28 days of sleeping in a hard chair in the ICU had done a number on me!
