Morning/afternoon all! And a very Happy Birthday to Maddie!
Sounds like some of you had eventful dreams - I often have very vivid bizarre dreams and I have noticed they get worse when I got home to my Mum's house. Even miniKK found the same thing.

Hi MC - it's sunny here today but a chilly start still. The weather was lousy at the weekend - typical of it to now fine up on Monday. We have our Labour Day next Monday so hopefully the weather will be fine then for the holiday. Are you still without hot water?

At least the hospital will have hot water! As I mentioned on Facebook it would appear that we let the pilot light also go out on the brain fluid evaporator ray! No wonder it wasn't working!

Hi KK, MC!.. yes, "decorator" Abby has been a BIG help - if there was an open box, she was either laying in it, or playing with it!... LOL
MC, I hope you get some rest sweetie!..... I put Hubbs on house rest today, no if's, and's or but's.... I had breakfast with him at a restaurant down the street, but then "strictly" made home go back to the apt. to bed......
... ok, now, Sunshine (Princess's sister) who is in the big cage, and Sol (mean devil parakeet that killed Princess) are having a "swaking" match across the porch....... *dons* ear muffs........
how is everyone else's afternoon going? I'm taking a break for a minute before I begin another wall of picture hanging!

Grrrr - just heard from MrKK that our dishwasher is kaput! The repairman estimates its 7-8 years old and they're only designed to last about 5 years. So we could spend $600 on parts for a dishwasher that is already living on borrowed time or $1,600 on a new one. My concern now is that a new one won't fit under the bench or be hard to get in over the tiles and that the matching cabinet covers won't fit on the new models.

Harry update : seems largely unimpressed by life outdoors, has wandered around his new garden a couple of times today, and even climbed a tree, but still prefers to be curled up indoors somewhere! He's hissing much less at the other three, and they hardly bat a collective eyelid at him now. So, pretty good for the 3 week mark! He was at the vets on Friday for his secons lots of jabs, he's still pretty underweight (3.5kgs), but eating well here, so it shouldn't be long before he's back where he should be.

He is such a dedicated eater! He just sits in front of his bowl and eats, methodically, until every last morsel is gone. He only likes wet food which will be a bit tricky when we intergrate the feeding areas, as the others are on dry, but we'll work it out. He's very methodical about everything he does - when he has a pee, he's in the tray so long (not straining, don't worry), Chris thinks he should offer him a newspaper!!!!!

Goodmorning/afternoon, Happy Birthday Maddie. I wonder how the party has been going.
had a cool start to the day but we have blue sky and the sun is out. Had our first BBQ of Spring/Summer last night, the gas ran out, it was cold and there was a shower of rain but other than that it went pretty well. It's a beautiful day here today too, MS (well, I guess we are both on the east coast...) I am on to my third load of washing! It's the first time I've been able to hang it out for weeks and weeks so I am trying to get everything done!
Well, back to the Monday grind...

I haven't accomplished much at all yet, recovering from yesterday's fun for Airy's birthday. Heading out now to see about getting a new garage door, one I don't have to physically open and close by going through the front door to get to it. Ahhhhhhhh, looking forward to an automatic door.

Sounds like a plan, MC. However we are having a typical Spring - great days followed by a relapse into Winter. Hopefully it has got it out of its system now and we can just warm up and move into Summer without further cold snaps. I was planning on going to the gym at lunchtime but instead of the treadmill (dreadmill) I might actually walk up to the Botanic Gardens. Its a very steep uphill walk from my gym and once you get there you pretty much have to keep climbing around the gardens - that's what you get for living in a hilly city! At least it is all downhill on the way back.

Oh, man - it was CRAZY today at the garage sale for Meals-on-Wheels. Everything was half price, and that was half off a ridiculously low price to begin with. We would ask people whose bill might be like $1.80 if they would like to round up to $2.00 as a donation to M-on-W and I can't believe how many said "no". What is wrong with people?????? And some of the people were so rude because they had to wait in a long line to check out. We were all volunteers working there!!!!! ACK!!!!!
I think it's time for dinner and a glass of wine.

... Pours a BIG glass of wine for WWM, and helps self to one also!...... did a lot of work today on unpacking, hanging pics, etc!.... Hubbs is on the mend, but still feeling headachey and coughing..... he's still afraid he'll "give it" to me, so he's quarenteened for one final night!..... :(.......
just did a nice walk/stroll with Abby around our neighborhood and watched the sunset! Beautiful!.....

Hello all!!! Thank you for the birthday wishes :) Maddie had a spectacular time at her party. We just got home about 45 minutes ago and put both girls to bed, neither had naps and are exhausted as is mommy! Her real birthday is tomorrow the 19th or today in NZ :) lol...anyway, I must go put away some food from the party but hope to return soon :)

Afternoon everyone, see that everyone has been doing something productive today...well probably everyone but me. Had just went to sleep and about an hour later my son called and said he would be in Tucson passing thru back to Phoenix in another hour....so of course I couldn't go back to sleep after that, he just left for Phoenix and now I have to convince myself to go back to sleep before going into w*** tonight...then of course heard a loud THUD on the back porch, one of the hawks decided to try the treat pantry in my backyard (i.e., the little birds I have been feeding since moving here) and one of the mourning doves flew into the door and died....I know its the cycle of life but geeeessshhh my yard is small and kinda seculuded (sp) and he still found it!
AV, good going on the hanging of pictures, been doing that myself here. Still have a lot to hang but thank goodness for those hercules hooks or similar implements, they make it so easy for me to hang pictures.
Ok off to see about sleeping, enjoy the evening or afternoon and bbl :)
