  1. Okay leaving for appointment. They called and asked if I could come in earlier--why is that. Trying to not let bad thoughts enter my head.I hope to be home in a little bit. I feel a little light headed and sick to my stomach.

  13. Thank you all and TDK prayers are answered yet again. He thinks it looks like the beginning of polycystic kidney disease. No cure, but treatable. For now we are monitoring he said. He now wants me to find out what the shadow is in the colon. I thought well dear God here we go again. Because I get regular colonoscopies because of the cancerous polyps that were removed 21 years ago, I am feeling pretty safe that anything there will be minor. I guess PKD explains the pain and the reoccurring headaches, when I never get headaches. You have no idea--if I had energy I would happy dance. He then mentioned that I might have the flu--the look I shot him was enough. I am doing fine on liquids and have eaten some fish for the past 3 days--I refuse to get the flu. Not to mention the word just sets my husband on his heals. Next appointment in 1 week to schedule colonoscopy.

  14. Thank you, God! PKD does sound better than cancer, that's for sure. Glad the colonoscopy is scheduled. Will keep up the prayers for you my friend!

  15. PKD isn't great, but not so bad for the time being. From what I understand the cysts can take over and you can go into renal failure. For now I am fine, and I now know what I have to watch for and do.

  16. I'll have to read up on it. Is it something you can get a transplant for?

  21. SM, Thank God it's something they can treat. PKD doesn't sound like much fun but it was evident there was something wrong and now you and they know what it is and thank the heavens, it's not cancer. I am very relieved, my friend. Make sure they keep on taking good care of you! And make sure that hubby and daughter know that they still need to give you a break and a whole lot of TLC! Many, many {{{HUGS}}}

  22. The best news is that in the 4 weeks I have been dealing with this I have lost 14.3 pounds. I have looked on a website now and I have to say that the pictures are just gross! Now I understand why he said beginning stage. People that have this have hundreds of cysts all over the kidneys.

    AGAIN THANK YOU ALL! I really am thankful for so many that supported me through this.
