  1. WOULD I LIE TO YOU? Insight China magazine conducted a poll of 3,376
Chinese citizens, asking what professions they found to be trustworthy.
Farmers came in at number one, followed by religious workers. Number
three: prostitutes, followed closely by soldiers. "A list like this is
at the same time surprising and embarrassing," said the state-run China
Daily, saying sex workers received "unexpected prominence" on the list.
The "least credible category" of workers included real estate
developers, secretaries, agents, and entertainers. (BBC) ...The best
part: no one found it surprising that hookers are followed closely by
    soldiers.

  6. Well, why wouldn't sex workers be high on the list when you stop to think about it? They tell you up front what they are going to do and how much it will cost; they do the job; the relationship is then over. They don't follow you around asking for extra taxes, they don't bait and switch; if they lie to you it's because you want them to.

It's not my idea of a great job, and I'm not sure about the morality of it, but it is a pretty cut-and-dried transaction.
