  1. Family:

I'm reading through threads, trying to catch up and found this thread: Let's Help Out Lainey's Dad-Crazy Cat Peeps! =^.^=

Now I'm bawling like a baby. Amy, thank you my dear friend and everyone else who has sent me messages of support here and on this thread for my daddy. He will be soooo thrilled!

An update: Dad insists no hospice right now. He is well aware of what they do for him and us but he is DETERMINED to live and walk (with his walker of course) again. You know, he just might! The doctor I spoke with earlier this week was very gloom and doom. I know he is honest. Dad is not going to get better. His body is slowly shutting down. But only God knows his time. Not a doctor. Not us. We talked about life extending things and he doesn't want any (no ventilator, no feeding tubes, etc). His doctor, who has not seen him since he broke his hip in June, will come take care of him at the house. (house calls!) and told my sister (the sane one) that dad may surprise us all.

He was supposed to come home today but due to congestive heart failure and fluid build up won't be home before tomorrow, maybe Wednesday or Thursday. We are not telling him he is dying. My dad's spirit is incredible and we are not going to injure it. If he comes to the conclusion himself that will be better. If he gets to the point he cannot make decisions for himself, I will make them.

I could not go through this without this wonderful group of friends. Strangers who have become my family. I do truly love all of you.

I have about 10 minutes left to myself and then I'm offline. I really need to give my house some attention and my Jetta-girl some love and attention. She needs some meowmy time...smile.

So I'm trying to hang out and have some much needed fun (though I'm worried about some of you and you are in my prayers) for a few more minutes. Hopefully someday they will relax internet time at work. I've heard rumblings but spoke to our IT person today and she said they are still "closely monitoring" sites and time... (I work for a DoD agency). sigh... darn j.o.b. gets in the way of all my fun!

I love and thank you all!

  3. Thank you, KW :)

Off to fix dinner, load the dishwasher and snuggle with my Jetta... Goodnight everyone. If I get up in the middle of the night I'll try and say hi again. Gosh I miss you all!
