   Recently I had posted a blog that Smokey was having problems with her back. We took her to the Vet today. Turned out someone crushed her for her lungs were collapsed and she had Internal Bleeding.
   Smokey was put to sleep. There was nothing they could do. I had been crying for hours. As has my mom. We miss her a lot. It was for the best, I understand that. But, she took a huge piece of my heart with her. I do have other animals, but she took a huge chunk of my heart with her. I really miss her. She was my little baby.

   I thought I would update everyone. She is truly missed.

   R.I.P. Smokey, you were the greatest and sweetest animal in my life.

   I am so sorry, Huskymix. This is the worst day in an animal lover's life. She will always be your little baby. Your post brought me to tears...so bittersweet. Goodbye, sweet Smokey.

   Im so upset by it cause she was only 2 months old. She didn't get a chance to live a good full life. I feel so miserable.

    Thanks everyone. I appreciate everything. When all my other pets died, it didn hit me hard. But this today, really hit me. Hit really hard. Prob cause I worked so hard to take care of her, and spend every second of my days with her.

    I wish I seen the signs sooner. I thought she might have bruised her back, or something. At the time we started noticing things, we could not afford a vet. we thought she bruised her her back or fell.

    We didn't think it would come to this. I feel so horrible. It feels like it was my fault. I miss her so much. I can't sleep. Even trying to distract my thoughts isn't working. I feel so awful. Why I can't be a Vet. I couldn't handle doing this.

    HM, I am so very sorry. But... this was not your fault. These things happen, even though we pray that they never will. You had no way of knowing what had happened to Smokey. You gave her love and she loved you in return. Take heart in that. I am really so sorry.

    HuskyMix, I am so sorry for your loss. I once had a cat named Smokey, too. We all understand your sadness and pain. Please take comfort in the love that you shared with her, and I hope those memories will bring you peace.

    HuskyMix, First let me say how very sorry I am for your loss. Smokey was a beautiful kitty. Did the vet give you any ideas how this could have happened? I know it's hard to think about, but since you do have other animals you must also think about their safety.

    Huskeymix, oh, I'm sad to hear the news about Smokey. She sure was a cute kitten. I know how painful it is to lose a cat -- I've lost two in the last two years. And it is especially sad that she was so young. But you showed her love in her time on earth and she will always be part of you, and you her. You will see her again.

    Huskeymix, if you need more support, I'm in a group called Angel_on_My_Shoulders, dealing with those mourning the loss of cats. I've been a member since losing Cloud on July 24, 2008. They are very good folks there, fluent in the language of grief.

    Honestly everyone, I don't know what happened.

    When she was with me, she was safe and fine. I am a soon-to-be freshman in College and I still like to hang out with friends. So on days I went to hang out with my best friend who has comforted me in all my problems over the past 5 years (she is very upset to for she loved Smokey like her own), I would leave Smokey with my family.

    I don't know what goes on when I was not around her. They would always tell me she was fine and been a good kitten. I honestly don't know. I am not blaming anyone at all. I think it could have been a dog, could have been one of my siblings, I am not sure. I am not pointing fingers since I don't know how it actually happened.

    It's very hard. I looked at the Killeen Animal Shelter earlier, I saw a black cat looked just like her, I burst into tears *wait here it goes again the tears*...

    I miss her so much. I always looked forward to waking up to see her cute smiling face every morning. Even when she was injured, she always smiled up at me.
