   ok so we were playing with oakley and a shoe lace today when we noticed a tiny tooth on the floor. i was just wondering at what age kittens lose their baby teeth? oakley is 5 months old now, he seems ok and not in any pain he is still chewing on all his fav toys and eating fine.

   I don't know what age - I have to guess that it varies like humans. However they do lose their teeth, its somewhat rare to actually find the tooth since the typically just swallow it.

   My boys are 5 months old now, and I check their teeth every night to see if they have lost any baby teeth. Its just another sign my baby boys are growing up.

   thanks for the replies. I knew cats lose their teeth just like us but i just wasn't sure what age it happens. I didn't know if we had been too rough whilst playing with him or just that he was at that age.

   my doc told me and i read somewhere that it's between 5 and 8mths. of course they are each unique. i remember being soo shocked when i first noticed his kitten teeth :s

   Exactly the right time - sumi, same age, just shook her head the other day, and a little tooth with a bloody root flew across the floor!
