Hi. I just took in 7 ten day old abandoned kittens a week ago and they are all taking formula at last and even the two runts are on the up and up, but their eyes are freaking me out as of late, they are bulging and I just wanted to know if this was normal or if it had to do with the constipation? Am I over feeding? Any advice would help thanks!

Hi, DOS, welcome to TDK. I'm not sure what you mean by bulging. If you look at cats' and kttens' eyes from the side, they are like little half spheres. Is this what you mean? Are your kittens constipated? How do you know? Are there any other signs that something is wrong, i.e. are their eyes half closed or can you see the third eyelid (a milky lid over the eye) at all? Without more details, it would be hard to give you any useful advice. Click on the pink tags poop and constipation in the top right-hand corner if you want to read previous threads on constipation, there is a lot of good advice in there.

From a quick bit of research, it looks like it could be many things, ranging from feline herpes (not transmissible to humans) to infection, injury, birth defect, thyroid etc. I think it would be best to get these babies to a vet. Good luck!
