    Your quote attributed to Heinlein did not originate with him although he used it in several books. It seems to be variously attributed to military sources circa WWII and may be earlier.

    Heinlein was a retired Naval Officer so he probably got it from his experiences in the service.

    Thanks Ailur, I didn't research it for I used my special memory of my sis Sue who enjoyed her books!
    Today's little dove candy wrappers quotes are "Boldly face down your fear" and "find creative solutions and celebrate life!" (Um, I only had 2 as a treat!)
