  1. Jeff is taking our neighbor's lovely Calico in to the SPCA shelter for spaying this morning. She's such a sweet girl and has been an extraordinary mother in the past but we're shutting down this girls little baby maker today. I know there's rarely complications and don't expect any problems but would love it if you could say a little prayer for another retired baby maker. Hope she won't be too angry with Auntie Karen & Uncle Jeff living next door to her. =D

  4. I will Julie....Poor Saleen was mewing pitifully to be let out of the carrier this morning before they left. I wish I'd gotten a pic of her...she had both front legs sticking out the front about three inches with her nose pressed against the front....It was so sweet how nicely she asked for her freedom that I didn't know if I should laugh or cry! Hahaha! I'm sure she won't be speaking to us for a while but it's such a relief to know her breeding days are done! Jeff is such an angel for doing this. The girl next door is a single mom and works and goes to school and is sooo happy her sweetie is finally getting her retirement and the stress of finding homes for kittens is over.

  8. Awwww..Thanks Julie, JK, BB & Beth! Jeff REALLY is a good sport with the neighborhood critters. They all know and love him. He always seems to speak fluent dog, cat, turtle and for a time....mouse (then we got cats). Unfortunately some of the locals think he's crazy but the animals and I know better. =D

  13. Thanks!! You're all so awesome. Jeff just called me and said they won't let him pick her up til 4:00 so he has 4 hrs. to kill. It's a 50 mile drive one way so he's just gonna hang out there in one of the local bookstores and read. He says no worries...it's a real comfy chair and there's a Subway store nearby. Hahahah! I love it...wait til I tell him he's been dubbed Dr. Jeffery Doolittle!! =D

  14. 50 miles??? Oh he is a TDK hero for driving that far for this neighbor kitty!!! Please give him big hugs from me!! He will bring you a $5 footlong wont he??

  15. I'll definitely pass that hug along Julie..Thanks! No...no Subway coming back...He didn't take enough cash with him for anything more than his own lunch. It's ok...I'm just so proud of him for his generosity that I couldn't be happier. =)

  17. Well...Jeff and Saleen just made it back from Roseburg and both are happy as he$$ to be home! Saleen gave me a little meow as Jeff headed next door to deliver her to her meowmy and little boy. Whew!! Everything went just fine and in no time at all she'll be out and romping. Now if we can just catch her last two kitties (about 3 mos. old)they've already got homes but have to be caught to go there. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers...they always seem to work well for us! =D

  18. Wonderful that she is spayed--you are so loving to take care of that. She will be able to have a happy life with her hoomin friends. May her kittehs be caught and live a life of love with their hoomins too!
