  1. Well since there doesn't appear to be a NS started, will start with this one. I may not be here for a bit, who knows might actually fall asleep so in that case I will be back later. Hope that everyone has had a wonderful weekend and just really nice weather.

  3. Hi AZDebra and MC--hope your evening is okay. Sleep is nice isn't it? But if sleep is elusive a picture of a pretty kitteh is nice!

  4. Hello AZ & MC. Watching the Giants game. Leela just brought Larry downstairs and she's stretched out in front of the fire.

  5. Hey there MC, Soxsmom, Joan....sleep is definately elusive on the best of days, even with sleep aids (Ambien, Lunesta, and the like) but what the heck its just sleep. Figure most ppl are going to watch football, I usually just catch HGTV and whatever they have on until I do fall asleep for at least a nap. Be back in a bit.

  6. I understand the sleep is elusive thing for sure. I can't seem to sleep well or long enough. then I am soooo tired.

  7. +hi all !!! i didn't post yesterday and you will find out why now. i belong to another kitty list called feline-l. six of us decided to get together yesterday. i was gone from my home from 10 am to 11 pm.

the weather was terrible. rain coming down in sheets in the morning, sprinkling at night. we met at the oneida mansion, a 93,000 sf complex built in 1842. we took a tour of some of it. it is both a historical mansion, a b&b, and rental apts. now.

the we went to the spring hill CARES animal sanctuary. that was wonderful. they have feral, adoptables, and permaneny homes for cats, dos, horses, goats, etc.. no cages here. they have kitty rooms set up like living rooms with everything a kitty could want. the kitties are grouped together by age, temperment, needs, etc.

then we went to turning stone casino, where i both lost my glasses and got permanently seperated from my friends. i found my car and went home. but i probably shouldn't have gone home. the roads were unfamiliar, i had lost my glasses abd couldn'r read the large green and white directional signs. so i had to stop on the shoulder and read them when i thought i was close to a turn-off. i didn't make any mistakes and got home at 11 pm yesterday.

the storm played havoc with my pain. this outing should have been a "don't". as soon as i can manage the funds, i will buy a spare pair of glasses to keep in the car at all times. i will also need to replace the glasses i lost. but i learned some important lessons from yesterday. in case of the weather, go with your gut feeling.

btw, it was nice to see the 5 friends i hadn't seen in a while...

  8. Glad that you got home safe but tired Cheri, and please do keep a spare pair of glasses in the car. Hate to see you trying to drive if you can't see, that braille type of driving (feeling the tires hit the bumps on the roadway) does not bode well most times.

Napping was kind of hit and miss this evening, so now getting ready for w*** and will see if anyone is awake on the flip side of the witching hour. If not, hope that everyone sleeps well this evening.

  9. It's 2.55 am here in AZ, ... cool to nice in USA (the AZ sky is filled with stars this evening) and the night is cool in NZ ..... it's be time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

  11. Hi, Deb, I'm stuck here waiting for PDF files to go through on email, on my dial-up, it's going to take all night, it's already taken hours... :(

I haven't heard from MS lately, have you? Hope she's okay. And I was thinking, we haven't heard from GD either recently. And I'm worried about MC, of course. Been a funny sort of day and I just know I'm going to be awake all night -- arrghhh. How are you?

  12. There have been a lot of people MIA... :(

Morning and evening all...tired today... How is everyone?

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  13. Evening jcat, sorry that its so slow....MS has been doing things with Airy, and they were going to go fishing last I had heard since Mr. MS was out for the week (or am I imagining things). Haven't seen anything from GD either, and of course worried about MC, think she has a doc's appt today.

  14. CM, morning, ditto on the tired today. Think its just the normal seasonal change and that end of year cycle that we get every year with it being slow in here.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  15. CM, have you gotten a text msg from MC this morning? We have all been wondering how she has been doing this evening.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  16. Hi, CM, sorry to hear you're tired. It must be hard with Abbie teething and Maddie potty training...

Deb, I hope it's just that MS has been having loads of fun with Airy while Mr MS is off catching them lots of delicious fish...

  17. Deb, MC just posted on the Feeny and Taco thread :)

  18. No..checked my phone and now have it by the laptop..all quiet. I pray she is okay and will be okay.
it's funny..we put a pull-up on Maddie for the night till we master day time then we will work on night time...so that way we all get some sleep but Maddie is waking up between 3-4am every morning to go to on the potty so we get up to take her and she goes...now before that she does pee in the pull up...so something tells her around that time to get up..her room is right next to the bathroom, but I still think she is too young to go by herself in the middle of the night since her bedroom is downstairs and ours is upstairs.

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  19. Aww, she is doing her best, she will get there. I think you're right, it's tough to go to the bathroom by yourself when you're only three and it's dark and you've just woken up... I know a few grown-ups who get confused in the middle of the night too :)

  20. She's doing stellar jcat in the daytime..she can tell when she has to go and she tells me and she goes...we are in big girl underwear all day...however..she still won't poop(sorry) in the potty..only in a diaper..so we have to work on that but I guess that's really common...I let her go in a diaper too so she won't get constipated. She's really doing so good. I am proud of her.

  21. CM, maybe putting a small lamp in the downstairs bathroom would help too. I have one in both my bathrooms, mine is because I can't deal with the over the mirror lights normally .... they bother me if they flicker at all and I can see the slightest flicker, I know picky of me.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  22. Whoo-hoo, big girls' underwear all day, that IS stellar!
