Old Bay rocks!

  1. I fixed some chicken legs and thighs seasoned with Old Bay seasoning. I don't recall ever having had Old Bay, but because I heard it's used to season crustaceans I assumed my chicken would have a slightly lobstery/shrimpy flavor to it. After having baked the chicken pieces (and some oven-roasted carrots, onions, and garden-fresh blue potatoes, which I also seasoned with Old Bay), I fixed a plate and dug in; while the food didn't have the crustacean flavor I expected, it still tasted pretty good, plus it has a slight kick to it. Now I plan on using Old Bay on anything not nailed down, on fire, smothered in bisphenol-A, or infested with H1N1.
