  1. It's Tuesday! We made it thru another Monday! YAY! Old man winter has settled in for the long haul. It is cold, rainy, foggy, cold, and gonna get colder as the day goes on. YUCK! We have hot pasteries and muffins coming from the kitteh bakers in the kitchen, biscuits and gravy, scones, bagels, donuts, eggs, omelets, hash brown casserole, yogurt and fruit. Hot coffee/cocoa/tea are also available. Come fill your plate! I am home today, stiff neck, headache and generally yuckiness. Betty is pacing to go back to bed so I am gonna go crawl back in for a few more winks. Help yourself, the kittehs are at your service! Enjoy! I will check back in in a bit! Night to our Kiwi family if I miss you! Good luck on the presentation AV, you will do a great job, I know it!

  2. Morning, all. I have been struggling with the computer and dial-up for the last two hours. Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Good. I feel a lot better now I've got that off my chest. Also, an overseas client paid me today and the bank seems to have taken so much off the cheque that it wasn't worth doing the work in the first place -- near $100. I could spit! Preferably on a few bankers...

Mollycat, sorry to hear you're not well but glad you're staying at home to snuggle with the girls :)

Morning, Deb, sorry I missed you and MS earlier, I was banging my head on the desk and hitting the computer a lot...

AV, your presentation is going to be brilliant, I know it too, you are one capable woman (and you feed your team well too :) )

  3. Morning ladies!

MC, hope that you are feeling a bit better today.

jcat, I will join you with the spitting on them too....now why did they take so much off the cheque...pox on your slow dial-up...

  4. Deb, I think it was just because they could! It wasn't just the dial-up either tonight, the computer kept locking up and refusing to do anything...

How are you? I'm glad your channels aren't being too noisy tonight. Is there much more of your shift to go?

  5. 3 hrs and 15 mins, not counting mins though, lol. Hate when the computer keeps locking up and doing what it wants to do. Hate when the bank does that.

  8. Hello, everyone! At least, I'm a little more awake today than yesterday. It's cool here, too, and I fear that we are on our way to winter. Bah! So something warm and soothing from the breakfast buffet this morning and any kitties who ware ready for a good snuggle!

  9. Morning everyone! Good luck, AV :-) Oh, MC, if I could go back to bed and snuggle wif kitties, my day would be complete! (lolol)

Yesterday was the 16th anniversary of my baby Sid going to the Bridge. He was a big orange kitty with beautiful green eyes. We got him right after we got married, and from the very first night with us, Sid slept on my pillow. As he got older, I'd hold his tail in one hand, and scritch his chin with the other :-) He was long and lean, big long tail ... I was a little sad yesterday.

I had a wonderful cuddle with Hermes last night when I went to bed, and that helped a lot to make me feel better. It's amazing how cat fur absorbs tears.

  10. Bye, AV, best of British! Hi, LK, it's freezing here as well, and it's going to snow on the high roads again tonight.

  11. Hi, Siobhan, you snuck in... I'm sorry to hear you're sad about your baby, Sid. You must have loved him very, very much. To be still grieving so after 16 years is a wonderful tribute to Sid's personality.

It is amazing how cat fur absorbs tears, it's one of the reasons I like them so much!

  12. When we were first married, my husband worked graveyard (11pm-7am) and Sid was my buddy in the evenings and at night. Sid was a hoot. First time we introduced him to catnip was with a Hartz Mountain catnip mouse. He ran around with it in our apartment then disappeared. Didn't see him for quite awhile, so we went to find him.

He was on our bed and catnip was -everywhere-. Just as if that mouse had exploded. Catnip on the floor, our clothes, the bed, the cat... Sid was always enthusiastic about his catnip :-)

  13. Awww, I bet he had a silly grin on his face..., lol.

  14. What lovely memories, Siobhan! Our babies live with us in memories long after they are gone.

  15. Sid loved to do 'monorail cat' wherever he could. Draped over a knee, arm of a chair, railing on the deck... and he'd stretch out all four legs in the air, with just his body (and chin) resting on the railing. :-)

  16. Hi everyone! It's John Cleese's birthday today! In honor of that, I brought SPAM!!! So, we can have eggs and spam, eggs bacon and spam, eggs bacon sausage and spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam! (They played this bit on the radio this morning.)
Sid sounds like he was a wonderful cat.

  17. spam? Where is CM? We need to save her some SPAM!!! Yes, Sid sounds like a cat I would have liked to have known. Wow, Wilma left quite a smelly present in the litter box! EWWW! How stinky! Had to scoop, clean and throw that outside in the can. I sure hope she feels better after that!

  18. Morning All! I will have some Spam! I love the stuff!! Even though I know it isn't healthy.

  20. Everyone have a wonderful day, got to get ready for shift change and whatever else they have in store for us today.

  21. MC, Georgie left me a stinky present this morning, too, and he didn't cover it up - yuck! What's with the stinky cats today?

Deb, yes FreeRice.com is addictive, isn't it? I haven't played for a while, only because I get sucked into it and lose all track of time :)

Morning, all. Gray, rainy day here. Wouldn't mind going home and crawling back into bed. George was curled up in his favorite cardboard box sound asleep by the time I left - Oh for the life of a cat.

  22. Toasty Tuesday greetings to all from damp yet sunny M'waukee! Hope work day #2 is better than yesterday as we slowly progress to mid-week! I survived the Dentist yesterday, on the road to a boo-ti-ful smile...one more visit before the year end...yay! I will celebrate with a laarge java and an apricot pastry with a little orangie kit for a smooch! Have a great day/nite wherever you hang your hat & keep your cat! 23. Hi to everyone! Had a good nights sleep but still needed more this am..so I slept until Maddie woke up and then the morning rush began :) Now Abbie is napping and Maddie is eating a fudgesicle and just playing.
I had put Abbie down for her nap and she was in there playing and talking and such so I checked to make sure her diaper was still clean and here, she had taken off her pants and threw them out of the crib..How she did that I will never know! How funny...She's going to be the wild child for sure.
I hope everyone is having a good day and I will try to check in when I can.
    Hugs!!

Kilroy..you got that right..just changing her diaper is like wrestling with an alligator...flip flop...move this way...move that way...

  28. Morning all - I'm tired. MrKK is not sleeping well and consequently I am not either. In fact I moved myself to the spare room last night and may continue to do so unless he goes to the Dr and gets something for the pain in his hip. It's a lovely sunny day here but it's just taunting us - the weather is going to turn FOUL later.
Jcat - sorry you had PC problems. And I'm right in that queue beside you to expectorate on a few bankers!
CM - lol at Abbie. You've got trouble on your hands indeed with that sweet little one!
