sumi getting spayed

  1. I'm so glad to hear Sumi is on the mend. How long before they have to get their stitches out? It's been such along time since I've had to go to get stitches removed. They don't ever put stitches in my ferals. Usually there's only one stitch, which the kitties usually have pulled out before they get out of the trap . . .

  2. Thanks Skyron - she has indeed pulled one of her two stitches out, and the wound is fine, but the second one is to come out Saturday, and I'll do it myself. She sure isn't going back to {{that place}} just for one stitch!

  4. Eleniki, I have somehow managed to miss this entire thread until now. How frightening for you, but I am so happy that Sumi is finally on the road to recovery. So often we take spaying and neutering as being very routine. But like any surgery, there is always the chance for complications. It is great news that Sumi is doing so much better.

    My Windi took out her sutures and didn't seem any the worse for having done it. I took out Willow's to avoid taking her back to the vet, which scares her terribly.
