the barn is all fixed up with pumpkins. hay and spooky decorations!! lydia is a princess and little fiona is a butterfly .. betty and wilma or errr fred and barney are waiting to greet guests... a memorial for kizzykat is set up with her picture for those who want to stop by and pay their respects..... my husband is in the tractor with a load of hay waiting for arrival of kits to have hay ride.. later there will be ghost stories , bobbing for apples , more hay ride , pumpkin carving and plenty of food , nip punch and cookies !! come and enjoy !! we have a big birthday cake that is in the shape of a pumpkin !!

wilma keeps jumping up and down " are they here??" wait until they see the barn!! do i look like fred? wilma was so busy getting the punch and snacks on the table all afternoon.. betty tells wilma just be patient they are coming !! where's lydia ?? wilma replies " she's fixing fiona's wings.... fiona says " lets go a hayride !! lydia tells her wait for the guests to come !! fiona jumps up and down ... ooh i do wish they would hurry up !! lydia tells her to be a patient kitten !!

I am so happy the girls are finally able to have their party with Birthday Girl Lydia. I hope she doesn't think that Fiona was her gift! LOL The girls couldn't sleep last night nor could I so we made shrimp kabobs and some tuna salad to put on nip flavored crackers. They also brought Lydia a beautiful photo album to put all the pictures from the party in as well as a bag full of catnip toys and a bouquet of roses for the Birthday girl. They brought Fiona some pink carnations to welcome her to the family. They are bursting at the seams to start the hayride. Hope no one gets too spooked. Let the girls know a big orange envelope showed up for them today in the mail! Have fun kids, you can stay overnight since you took sleeping bags. I know you will probably come home with orange nails. Just keep an eye on Wilma that she doesn't overdo it since surgery.

the girls have been jumping up and down waiting for the hayride to begin!! lydia just ran upto the hay with lots of blankets to keep warm , she loved the flowers and photo album, and the yummie food sent.. fiona states" i never had flowers before !! thank you betty and wilma !! wilma says "now are we sure everything is set?? " betty asks fiona " did you get the goody bags ready with the nipcookies and candy?" fiona was chewing a piece of nip carmel.. eeyup and they came out great!! the nip gum is tasty!! lydia said " fiona you weren't suppose to eat it..." fiona just laughed !!

betty and wilma tell their meowmy they are spending the night ,,, because the ghost stories will keep them up all night anyway !! wilma promises to take it easy and will not be jumping up and down alot.... lydia puts on the music starts it with "the monster mash" and turns the lights down... betty runs around to check to be sure nothing has been forgotten for the guests.. clean litter boxs are handy inside and in the outhouse....

the square dancing will begin after the hayride... when i was growing up we always had halloween parties in our barn ,, we had hayride first then square dancing , and bobbing for apples when ever we wanted and hot cider and punch .. pumplin carving.. ooh it was so fun !! i suggested to lydia the square dancing and she said "noo way "" i said it's fun !! she said " ooh allright .. looked dejected ..lol.... it's fun !!

... Abby and Cuddles beg Momma to let them go to the Hayride and Birthday Party.... Momma has to go out soon, but puts their costumes on them and makes them promise to be home by 9pm for bed.....
..... Abby has dressed up as "Abby" from NCIS - her black ears imitating the pony tails, and her little siamese face framing her eyes, like she's wearing lots of black eyeliner.... she has on a little plaid skirt, knee high stack boots, and a white collared shirt.....she's also painted her fingernails black....
.... Cuddles, well Cuddles IS the great pumpkin!.... she's dressed entirely in an orange mumu, with a jack o lantern face on the front, and has a green "stem" hat on her head...... her candy bucket is the largest she could find, and she intends to fill it to the brim......
....woosh! the girls plop through the wormhole..... "Hi everyone, and Happy Birthday Lydia!.... Momma sent these orange iced tuna cupcakes, and we've brought you a birthday present - a nice basket of kitty treats and toys, with feathers, bells and crinkley things.........

the litterboxes are filled with fresh step litter,,loll... lydia and the girls are soo happy to see cuddles and abby !! they all comment on how great their costumes look and start to dance until the rest of the crowd comes !! pumpkin rushes in and waves hello to everyone !!!

yay, our furreinds are rolling in and they all look so good! they headbonk pumpkin, abby and cuddles. looks like cuddles takes a seat in the corner and awaits her fellow elder statescats. all the girls run over to the treat table and begin to nibble on treats while the halloween music plays in the background!

lydia runs over to cuddles and inroduces her new little sister fiona.. she tells fiona to always respect cuddles and if cuddles needs anything to make her comfertable , fiona nods in approval and shakes cuddle's paw then gives cuddles a hug .. fiona asks cuddles if she would like a drink, cuddles nods yes and fiona runs and gets cuddles a drink of nip... cuddles taps her toes to the monster mash... watching the kitties dance ..

Fred and Cricket whoosh through the wormhole and run over to their friends and say hello. Cricket is dressed like Queen Elizabeth I, big gown and red hair. Fred is dressed like a gangster, complete with zoot suit and fedora.

lydia and betty run over to greet cricket and fred !! lydia cracks up when she sees cricket !! lol.... she thinks fred looks slick in his zoot suit.. lydia introduces fiona and fiona says "look i'm a butterfly" and runs around in a circle.. lydia cracks up " she is soo silly !! we almost have enough people for the ride let's dance !!

cheri has picked up all the kitties she promised to give rides to. spice is in her costume and jumping up and down making all the bells on her costume jingle. she has brought her pajamas and toothbrush and clothes for tomorrow. she has cheri's permission to stay overnight. cheri brings the catnip cupcakes for the kitties, brownies for the meowmies and kittydads. she also brings a sandwich and diet pepsi for herself as she has not eaten dinner yet. she settles down in a comfy chair and watches all the kitties. tonight is going to be great fun !!!

Whoosh! Leela slips thru the wormhole like a pro, but still a bit clumsy at the landing. She was going to be a skunk (she had me worried when she found white paint yesterday), but has decided to be a kitty-hobo. She reasons that she wants to represent homeless kitties so she tried to be fun but also respectful because she was homeless once. She has a well worn flannel shirt on with a long flowing skirt that totally clashes with the shirt. Her baseball cap is on backwards and it says "my other hat is in my mom's jaguar". She punctuated her look with a bright pink hobo bag that has her overnight stuff in it. She is wearing her angel pin; it's her way of bringing her brothers who she never knew with her.

Leela has a big bunch of wildflowers in bright fall colors for Beth, a single white rose that she brings to kizzykat's memorial table, and a miniature white rose that she nestles behind Fiona's ear. She also brought catnip cookies in various halloween shapes and colors like ghosts, pumpkins (oh hi Cuddles!), witches and black cats (oh, there's a couple of us!).

Willow is at home and stomps her tiny paw. "Mama, we have to go to Lydia's party!!!! Besides, it the special time of year for all black kitties!!!!" She pouts as only Willow can pout. Windi is behind her sister looking worried. Scrunching up her pretty brow she asks, "Are we not going because we're not invited?". Windi begins to cry and Willow has to lick her face dry.
WWM sighs. She and Mr. WWM are going to a Wine Dinner tonight. But there is time to get the girls ready. Willow rushes to the closet and pulls out two costumes. She helps her sister to get dressed, and they present themselves to mama for approval.
Willow loves Harry Potter and is dressed as Minerva McGonagall, who she knows can turn into a kitty at will. She has on a tall black witches hat, but it is a good witch!
Windi adores the Wizard of Oz and has fashioned a dress out of toilet paper that resembles Glenda, The Good Witch. Of course, there are tons of dead leaves incorporated into the dress, since that is Windi's favorite thing.
The girls each have a pumpkin to collect candy in and they are excited about maybe doing some tricks if they don't get any treats!
WWM packs a basket with candy corn, cakes in the shapes of black kitties, and their traditional gift of a pinata - this time in the shape of a ghost. The pinata is filled with kitty biscuits cut in the shape of a kitty.
The girls take one peek through the worm hole and head off for the party!

Windi zips back through the worm hole and tells mama that she must take something special for Kizzykat's table. She looks in the garden and selects a yellow Texas rose and ties it with a red, white and blue ribbon.
"Mama, I know that Kizzykat will like this." She kisses WWM and heads off again.

ooh leela !! lydia runs to see her and give her a hug !! thank you for the rose for kizzy's memorial table ...lydia has a tear in her eye.. and then said " kizzy would want us to have fun !!" she tells leela thank you for the presents and how cute she looks an d glad she bought her overnight bag.. because she betty and wilma and fiona are going to have a sleepovr by the fireplace tonight afterthe party , the more ktties the merrier... lydia invites leela over to the refresment table and thanks her for the gifts .. she tells leela in a few minutes meowpa is taking us on a hayride...

Leela hugs Lydia. I'm so sorry kizzykat is gone to the bridge, but she's not really gone. I know that because my brothers visit me in dreams sometimes. I feel safe knowing they are watching over me. It seems that TDK rainbow kitties have formed a network quite similar to this forum. They welcome anyone who wants to hang out and their advantage is that there are no trolls! I'm sure kizzykat will be here in spirit.

Spice had forgotten to bring the presents for lydia and kizzykat. she whispurred to Cheri, they snuck out of the party and thru the wormhole to the apartment. there on the table were the gifts: 2 huge bouquets of late blooming tall blue catnip flowers with purple ribbons. they were back at the party in less than three minutes. Spice laid one of the bouquets on Kizzykat's table and gave the othe other one to Lydia. Lydia smelled the flowers, headbutted Spice and said thank you for remembering me and Kizzykat...

... Cuddles and Abbys' Momma popps in to check on the girls... they are having fun, and look happy ... she waves and makes the "be home for bedtime" sign....
... Abby "waves" at Momma and giggles in a corner with some of the younger girls!...
... Cuddles glances Mommas way, then *snorts* and turns "the tail"..... (typical)... she is always in "control"....
.... she just LOVES Leela's costume, and gives her "two thumbs" up!....she secretly admires Leela's devotion to homeless cats, and says a prayer for Kizzy; she decides to move her "considerable" bulk to the candle table and lights a candle for her little brother (Milo) who went to the bridge almost 2 yrs ago (and was the reason Momma found TDK).... he was a homeless "take in" and well love by all (even if Cuddles didn't show it!)

Jetta looks as mommy who looks like a wet goggie tonite from the wind and the rain and says "meowmy... can't i go, too?" Oh my goodness, mommy says! I forgot all about it! But looking at the disappointment in Jetta's eyes mommy says, okay, yes sweetie, you can go. Jetta is dressed in dryer lint as she rolled around in the stack mom was going to put out for the birdies to build nice soft nests with (how DID she find it?) Jetta has her bags packed as she knows mommy will be sound asleep before she even gets through the wormhole. She wants to pay respects to Kizzy and talk to Spice about Velvet. And say hi to all the black cats and then go hang out with Cuddles and the other, gently seasoned citizen kitties. Since mommy forgot about the party we are sending along a few bags of treats as our little gift Lydia and hope she enjoys them in good health and shares with Fiona. Have fun everyone from Jetta's meowmy, Lainey! Goodnight and try not to get to scared when the stories start!

ooh i'm sorry high winds here and my computer was knocked off line.. winds 60 miles an hour.. everywhere but at the party , it's wind free there..lol...
lydia is so happy to see spice and all her friends they all climb into the hay with meowpa at the tractor , meowpa helps cuddles in and gives her a nice warm blanket for her lap and she snuggles in the hay , in piles all the kits spice and windi and willow and pumpkin and they all climb in.. fiona says i can't jump up there !!! cuddles and pumpkin help little fiona up and she gives them each a hug .... lydia said let's do this hayride now and meowpa will do another later if needed ... off they go into the pumpkin patch and meowpa asks them what they should sing... windi suggests " lets' sing " you are my sunshine " and the kits all sing you are my sunshine .. the sun going down and the moon coming up , meowma hears the kits sining as they drive away... meowma wait for more kits to arrive and tell them not to fear more hayrides and fun to contuine !!

betty snuggles up close with all the girls while wilma snuggles under a blanket with fred. He will hold her paw if she gets scared. They are all laughing and giggling and having such a good time!
