i haven't had a new kitten in 14 years .. lydia is 12 years old and kizzy was 14 years old.... well fiona is not cleaning her bum.. i wait for her to clean her bum and i end up doing it... how can i teach her to clean her bum..lydia won't go near her yet... any ideas.... i thought i was done wiping bums at home when my youngest was out of diapers 9 years ago..lol...

well i really don't know. Never had a kitten who didn't take care of her bum. Hmmm, maybe put catnip on her bum! LOL

Nilla (my avatar) would do the same thing. Here's what we found worked for Nilla:
I held him (belly up) and put his head toward his bum (almost like a kitten half moon), so close that I'm sure he smelled it and went "Ack! I smell bad!" From that day, he has faithfully cleaned his bum, with no help needed :)Posted 2 years ago by AnimalLuvr82 #
