  1. Okay, TDKer's... exactly what the heck is going on here????? So many MIA's. No NS night after night. Slow cafe's. Where the heck is everyone???? It's time to regroup and get the fun flowing!

Now, having said that, I have been in the kitchen all day long as we had dinner company. Now I have finished the dishes and I am knackered! AND - we have to meet a friend to ride bikes at 0900 hrs tomorrow. When it will probably only be in the low 40's!

But the night is young (somewhere). Pull up a bar stool and tell us your pleasure. We have a completely open bar. And for snacks, I have tons of left over shrimp puffs from my dinner party, which I must say were delicious. And I have scalloped potatoes but I'm not certain how that will play with martinis!

I may not be here, but....... LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!! Come on TDKer's - we need to get back in the groove!

  2. Hi, WWM. Sorry I missed you. I spent the late afternoon and evening sewing with my daughter who is working on yet another baby quilt for her prolific friends! She has three to make in a very short time line plus a mu'u mu'u for our hula performance on Nov. 21. *whew* :) Dress warmly for you early bike ride tomorrow!

  3. I love scalloped potatoes and I am sure they will go with the martinis! Now its that time again for my Monday to start, sure wish that we only had Wednesday's but that would be too much to hope for, lol. Was watching the Animal Planet show, Mr. & Mrs. Wolfman where a gentleman is trying to introduce his girlfriend to his wolfpack and get her comfortable with them....interesting all the little & quite big things she has to know.

WWM, sounds like you are going to have another busy weekend, enjoy your bike ride tomorrow.

KW, see that you and your daughter are very busy with the sewing quilts and making the mu'u mu'u for your performance near Thanksgiving, that is so awesome.

  4. I think I'd enjoy watching paint dry with my daughter. We have such a good time together! lol

Mr. & Mrs. Wolfman sounds like a very different reality show. They could be lunch!

  5. I'm here! It's Halloween here and not-so-mini-KK has gone off trick or treating with a friend and her American mother. She is dressed as a homicidal French maid - I know, I know. She chose it and MrKK bought it! We don't get a huge amount of trick-or-treaters here in NZ but we have a bowl of candy in case. Over the years they have learned that our house is a good mark! MrKK is all ready with his alien mask to open the door.
I seem to recall last year (or the year before) posting on TDK about the little ratbags that tried stealing our decorations off the porch - how time flies. And we have put fewer out this year!

  6. Checking on the back posts then heading off to bed as it's a chilly night here. We had a glorious day weatherwise and I was in the garden planting out veges again. Went to the farmers market this morning but forgot to take any money with me. It's a great way of stopping yourself from buying anything. I saw a fantastic pair of earrings too, hope they are there next week as I'm going back with money. We didn't get any trick or treaters tonight which was just as well as I didn't have anything for them.

  7. It is 4:39am here and I am just checking in before I hit the road. I swear that an elephant in sitting on my. I realize it is the pneumonia, but I really had hoped a few days on antibiotics would have helped some. It is the last band competitions of marching season. I must say I am looking forward to that! It is below freezing here and the high is supposed to be 60 degrees. I have packed warm clothes and several layers are on me. I grabbed my blanket and warm coat. Okay now I am prepared for the 7 hour drive and then the 7 hours sitting in the stadium. Medicine is with me and inhaler. Hoping we don't all freeze!

  8. SM, please make sure you are wrapped up nice and warm whenever you are out of the car, look after yourself and may the band have a successful competition. Hopefully that elephant will get the message and get off your chest soon. Goodness me, 7 hour drive! I hope there is someone else to share that task. Try and get some rest too please.

  9. Hubby will drive the whole thing--I think it is a male testosterone issue. When I drive he grips the dashboard every 3 seconds. He does this with anyone that drives other than him! You should have seen him when he was driving with our priest--pretty funny--that man is the most cautious driver alive!

  10. Here taking a break from the busy, busy night that it is turning out to be....ugh, annoying at times but its what's to be expected I suppose.

Soxsmom, be careful and try to take care of YOU, the pneumonia is no fun and being out in the cold will not help it.

MS, love to go to Farmer's Market's too and leaving your monies home does help stop you from spending any of it, lol! I have done that before :P

  11. Evening Deb, thought you would be tucked up in bed. I had to laugh when I opened my purse and found about $2 in shrapnel in there, I just knew I would find something I liked and it cost more than $2. Murphy's law.

  12. It's 12.17pm here in NZ, ...the night is cool in NZ and cool in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
