Oh TDK'ers! We DO think alike! I was wondering the same thing with the pancake batter! Please take it easy and work on those martini reps! They will make the boo boo all better. Nurses Willow and Windi will watch over you. I did a similar thing years ago when I worked at an amusement part. I was driving a train, went to shift gears and jammed the gear into my knee tearing the skin off. I had to continue working as I was in a somewhat isolated part of the park with no phone. An hour later someone came along, drove me to the hospital (over an hour away) and I ended up with quite a battlescar! Hang in there!

Oh I'm sorry - I can't talk right now because I'm applying pancake batter to my stitches!!!
I guess what I meant to explain was that our friend came home with us and we had promised her breakfast. She really looks forward to our Saturday rides and she didn't even know that I had fallen, let alone know that I was bleeding pretty profusely. So I asked Mr. WWM to please not make a big deal about it, that when we got home I would make the batter and he could cook the pancakes. While he was cooking, I would go take off my biking tights and survey the damage.
I guess it came out wrong!

LOL @ WWM!!! Sometimes things "sound" so good in our heads but don't translate so well in typing! Trust me, I have done that many times. Where are you taking Bobby this week???

We are heading to LA on Friday and then leaving for a cruise to Hawaii on Sunday. I can have my stitches out on the 10th and I'm thinking of doing it myself. I can't imagine what they would charge in the medical office on board!

Am sure you will do fine! I took out my PEG tube at home. Wasn't gonna drive the 40 mins to Louisville just to have them take it out. It healed nicely, after I had to get the smelling salts out for my mom! She thought it was absolutely disgusting and gross!

((WWM)) Road Rash in a big way. I totally assumed the pancake batter was some kind of poultice as well...but then thought..nah..couldn't be. Wear your stitches as a badge of honor WWM..you are riding wonderfully and doing such a good job..just had a small setback :) How are you feeling tonight?

Okay WWM I was planning on coming home to rub in the fact that we beat Midland this weekend, but now I am not sure I can do that! Daughter has a friend that races bikes, on a track, and used the footless pedals. The toe clip is great to go fast. So listen here speed demon you are not allowed to work out on cardio for 7 days--let that wound heal. Don't make me call Emma and gather the ninja whack-bonk stick weilding crazy cat ladies and head to your front door!

*ducks sheepishly* I don't want the Whack-Bonk sticks!!! I've already been whacked enough this weekend!
My knee is sore and my arm is very sore where I had to get a tetanus booster. And I have a huge bruise developing on my left hip. But nothings broken so it could have been lots, lots worse.
Clovis beat which Midland, SM? In the band competition? I don't have any ties to a Midland school. But, as I said on your thread, Coronado HS is where I went to school!

LOL, I'm sorry about the road rash but I too thought you were applying a pancake polstice to your knee. Martini lifts with extra olives might do the trick for the upper body workout this week.

How is the knee today WWM?

It's still oozing and stiff and crusted with old blood. I'm going to wait a couple of days and then start trying to get all of that off so that I can see the sutures. I did the treadmill at the gym for an hour because that's all that I could do that wouldn't be too much of a repetitive bend in my knee. Then 45 minutes of arm weights because I can't do any leg weights. What a pain!
Thanks for asking, MC!
