  1. Welcome to the spooktacular night shift. How are you spending Halloween night? The TDK bar & grill is decorated with cobwebs, pumkins and not-so-scary kittens in costumes.

I almost decided not to buy any candy for trick-or-treaters since we get so few in our neighborhood, but I broke down today and got some. I know there will be at least a couple of groups of little kids in cute costumes.

What was your favorite costume to wear on Halloween? :)

  2. In bed! And my current costume of 4 day old hair and skanky pyjamas is more than enough to frighten small children!!!

  3. LOL at MCW!!! i have last nights make up on after halloween party/ ann summers night and over indulgence means i am still in pajamas feeling rough!!! Did pop on a cat mask to hand out sweets to the kids that came to the door tho.
reckon they were quite scared of the crazy lasy in Pj's and mask, lol!!!

  4. Chris made sure we had sweets, but then we didn't get any kids come to the door. Typical!

  5. We don't get many little goblins, either. But we have candy ready just in case.

My favorite costume was the year that I got to be Snow White. And I saw a little girl at Wal-Mart today when I went to get my Rx who had on a little Snow White costume. Happily she wasn't being chased by seven dwarfs!

  8. For the past few years my Sweetie and I have gone to the local thrift store and bought big bags of small stuffed animals to give to the kids for treats. The toys are a hit with the little ones and their parents and they don't cost nearly as much as candy.

Last year we had some Bozo (a really big guy in a costume complete with mask)show up. I gave him a toy meant for a tiny baby. That was fun!

  18. LOL, MCW!!!!!! *snort*

We're going to go watch a movie and eat a sandwich and maybe the doorbell won't be rung too much. But it was worth it to see such a cute toilet on the front porch!

  20. Hi, Chey, WWM, MCW, AL and Pika. :)

I'm all set up in our living room now to greet any goblins or ghouls brave enough to climb the hill we live on. (The hill may account for how few we seem to get each year.)

I remember my mother making costumes for the six of us each year. One year I was a flapper, complete with fringed dress and long beads. I think it was made out of an old sheet. lol

  21. I think I'm sitting too close to the candy bowl. I've eaten more candy than I've given out!! Just had my first two trick-or-treaters come to the door. One looked like she was about 8. She was a kitten! She pushed her nose and it meowed. lol She came to the door with her big sister and her parents in the background. It is fun to see their excitement.

  22. Hello!!!
Our neighborhood is horrible on halloween..well at least our street is. So we went over our friends house so Maddie and their daughter, Elena could trick or treat together. They had so much fun. We took pictures and I will post them tomorrow. Maddie is still up and it's almost 9:30 and so we have to get her into bed and then clean up the mess that is our house and I plan to hit the bed hard..lol

  23. No kiddos here, just me and the girls. Like WWM's baby, my girls scatter when the doorbell rings (UNLESS it is FF, hmmm?). Anyways, we are gonna go snuggle in bed and watch a Netflix movie. My favorite costume was the year I was (SURPRISE) a cat. My least favorite was when my face swelled up and I had to go to the ER because of the costume make up. Never did that again! :D

  24. Remember, you get an extra hour of sleep tonight, CM! Well, at least it's an extra hour--up to the kidlets as to whether you get to spend it asleep. :)

Posted 2 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  25. OMG, MC! Allergic reaction to costume makeup???? That must have been a severe disappointment to you. You had a trip to the ER and probably didn't have much candy that year. :(

Posted 2 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  26. KW...I pray that I get more sleep..I just hope both girls sleep all night, no sound, just heavy sleeping from them :)
Maddie is in bed...and I am on my way upstairs to bed too. I hope everyone is safe and well and i will see you tomorrow. Which is November already!!Next month is Christmas...lol

  28. i just got home from a southern tier young professionals party. they were 2 parties in the same bar, yikes !!! i have a young inner child, and i am a professional, this is ok !!!

i was a 1500's italian renaissance lady. no surprise there. if one belongs to the SCA like I do, one always has a halloween costume. i had a good time and was careful on my comsumption of goodies. no alcohol.

earlier in the day i went up to mom and dad's. they loved the costume, i got a sandwich and an apple, played cards with my mother and won, and got a very nice treat for halloween. i don't want to say what it was, but it was very nice and practical.

Spice is next to me as I type. it's time for pets and belly rubs...

Posted 2 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #
