  1. Good Morning, all! George is luxuriating in a sunbeam this morning, so I decided to start a cafe in his/its honor :)

The TDK kitties are rushing about, setting out heaping platters of eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, waffles and pancakes with real maple syrup, and pastries of every description. The made-to-order egg station is up and running. Now if the silly kittens could just stop taking breaks to nap in sunbeams :0 Wake up, kitties! There's coffee to brew, and tea, and chocolate! Wake up!

Mr. K and I are leaving in about 2 hours for the airport for our flight to San Diego. I don't know how much computer access I'll have, so wanted to wish everyone a good week. We'll be back on the 12th.

  3. Thanks for opening the cafe' this a.m. with so much to do before leaving for SAN. Have a great trip and come home safely to us. I'll take an order of eggs benny this a.m. along with some fresh cantaloupe, and hazelnut coffee.

  4. Thanks, CM. Things are better with Mike since we cleared the air about the latest "I'm mad at you and won't tell you why" episode (he always promises he's not going to do that anymore, but then he does). Also, we took Rosemary out to dinner Saturday night and she was having a good, aware day, so that was good for everybody.

*Eggs Benedict, cantaloupe and strong hazelnut coffee to SOM* I certainly plan on coming home safe, and I"m hoping to be seriously relaxed. No computer access is probably going to be a good thing (except for TDK withdrawal, of course).

  6. Good morning everyone! I had to fast last night for more bloodwork this morning. Seems I have a benign adrenal adenoma that the doctor wants to check. Stopped at the Golden Arches on the way to work, for two burritos and a large OJ.

    have a GREAT trip Kilroy!

  7. Good morning to all in the cafe honoring our very own George and his sunbeam! Eggs Benedict sounds great. I'm having a rough start to the day as big happenings are going down at w**k. (I didn't go in yesterday and missed something big; at least one of my coworkers was nice enough to text me.) I feel like withdrawing and not really talking today (we all have our own offices so there's not much "water cooler" chat anyway) so if I'm on here more than usual, it's just because I'm chatting with the crowd I like to chat with!
Leela, basking in some sunshine as I left the house, sends her regards to George. Have a great trip Kilroy!

  8. Joan, I think staying in your office away from the drama sounds like a great idea. Hang out with the nice people instead :)

Meant to mention, Mr. K & I took a walk yesterday to see the USS New York, the new ship built in part from World Trade Center steel. Very impressive ship. She's not open to the public until Wednesday, so we'll miss a chance to go aboard, but we got some good photos. I'll put them up on Multiply when I get a chance.

Good morning, Miss Leela! Aren't sunbeams great?

  9. Hope you have a wonderful trip, Kilroy...lucky you! HI to CM, SOM, Deb, Siobhan and Joan! The sun is shining here right now and it is beautuful, though it is only 26 degrees!

  10. Oooh, I saw the USS New York on News 12 the other day!
    Hi KH!
So the drama came to me in the form of a closed door meeting in my office to bring me up to speed. More tension. It has been going on since spring, with around now being the end of it, but there is a new chapter. I really don't need any more stress, hence, I'm coming here for water cooler chat!

  11. Toast & Coffe Tuesday greetings...make it a black large and Cinnamon/raisin on the toast! It is chilly but sunny in M'waukee today...wishes for all to have a sunbeam on their shoulder today or Moonbeam thru the window if you are approaching dreamland time!

  12. Home finally, all the crew has been fed, now its time for me to hit the bed....zzzz's are in order, and will be awake later :)

  13. *peeks in* anyone still here? *a few agency kittens open an eye and stretch, then close their eyes and continue basking in the sunshine. One kitty, a small brown Maine Coon tabby, immediately wakes and comes bounding over* Ahh, just what I needed today! Jiggs used to do that; he would be in a sound sleep, but wake in an instant at the sound of my voice.
Hope everyone's day is going well. I'm just keeping to myself (not in TDK land though!) till I get out of this funk.

  14. Hi everyone! Sorry work is such a pain, Joan...{{HUG}}

Kilroy! I know you're gone now, but you're coming to San Diego?! I wish we could get together!

  15. Linda, you are in the San Diego area? My neice is set to move to that area. I have never been any further west than Minneapolis and didn't get to visit her when she was in Oregon, but perhaps someday I can make a trip to CA. I love meeting TDKr's! (Still trying to get together with Kilroy; she is so close but I don't drive in NYC nor do I know my way around mass transit!)

  16. Oh and thank you for the hug, it means a lot to me :)

Posted 4 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  17. then {{HUG}} again...can never have too many! Yup, when MCW came to California, she stayed with me. Your niece will love it here, but housing is thru the roof! You and Mr Joan will definately have to come visit her! Give Leela a hug too...is there a Nibbler in the future for her? or a Phillip J? :D

Posted 4 months ago by linda #

  18. We almost had a orangy but the forces were against us. I would love to have another long hair kitty. If orange, Philip J and if grey, Bender! Of course, if another black cat crosses my path and adopts us, Nibbler it is! (and if an old-timer comes around, we will call him Professor Farnsworth!)
Neice must be outside the metro area. She found an apartment fairly cheap - by NJ standards though.
