American Animal Hospital Association: Grants available for veterinary care
(8 posts)-
Well this is likely one of the most needed and important threads that has been on this site all year. So many people are finding themselves barely able to care for themselves and if something happens to the family pet during times like these they normally get passed by. Well here Dee has given us all the information needed to apply for assistance, this link has the requirements as well as the application for the grants. I don't know how many times I've seen a post asking for advise about a sick animal because they don't have the money for the vet. Well here it is the information we all need to bookmark!!
Thanks Dee.

As I read on about them tho...it clearly states the Fund does not accept applications from individuals...that the veternarian offices must apply. Lets just hope that w/the economy the way it is, that some of these vets will be willing to go the extra steps to help by filing the necessary applications.
Thanks for the heads up Dee. -
It would probably help to fill out all you can of the paper work for the vet's office to complete and file.
great link.
Thanks Dee.

I was crying happy tears while I was checking out all the success stories...
Susie...did you check out the grant guidelines? http://www.aahahelpingpets.org/grant_guidelines.html
I would love to hear if any TDK'ers get assistance via this program.

Here is a site that offers assistance to pet owners whose homes are in foreclosure, and other types of assistance...
