   I really would like to know what ID - 10 - T could write a law that implied there could be JUSTIFIABLE animal cruelty.

   Ailuromaniac, the only 'justifiable animal cruelty' I can conceive of is, oh, perhaps, beating a large or dangerous animal to keep it from killing you or your loved ones. Thank Heaven the kitten is alive.

   and also, please note the name of the waste of plasma who did this. Rascell Williams. We will hear more of him, perhaps torturing or seriously hurting the live-in girlfriend or her children.

   I cannot bear bad news today so i'm not reading it right now. I've written legislators in the past and they always sent their platitudes and some DO try. More people need to write and call. Until they do things won't change. I'll keep writing and calling.

   Vicki "beating a large or dangerous animal to keep it from killing you or your loved ones",

   This would be self-defense or the proper defense of another and as such would not be defined as cruelty. If you whacked an attacker on the head with a baseball bat, you would inflict pain, suffering, bodily harm (justifiable assault vis'a'vis self-defense or the proper defense of another) and possibly death (Justifiable Homicide vis'a'vis self-defense or the proper defense of another). For an animal the wording should be justifiable injury not justifiable cruelty.

   What a sick thing to do! How do you look at a kitten and want to do anything but cuddle, let alone strangle him/her? HE should be hung fr a belt till he passes out. see how he'd like that.

    Go get him, Wolf! I am glad that the poor kitten is alive and hope he isn't seriously hurt. If that woman lets him back in the apt. SHE needs to be punished for putting her kids at risk.
