At first I figured it wasn't that big of a deal (after all, he isn't the first first-grader to walk home alone, and he won't be the last); after reading that a vehicle normally takes him to daycare after school until his parents pick him up, then I realized how big a deal it was. Someone should have been more on the ball in this situation.
