And, BTW, Amy, I don't think I have ever seen a limit on the number of requests for assistance allowed in the TDK family - keep on asking if you need any help we can provide!

MC! Please excuse the crudity but S**T! I hate this! I am praying like crazy and sending lots of love, hugs and anything else that you need. Wilbur, T-Do and Hadley are on the way through the wormhole to give lots of comfort and love. Hadley is especially soft and sweet, Wilbur knows that frightening feeling and T-Do, well he is just a ball of love. What else can I do?? Love you and will be thinking of you constantly. Cry, rage and hold on tight! We love you and will always be here for you. I feel a bit helpless. You are going to be fine. You will be tested and will be victorious. I just know it! Many hugs are on the way to you.

Just checking in after a long absence and I'm stunned to hear this news! Will immediately begin beseiging heaven for intervention, strength and a good outcome. If there's any room on your bed, I will tip Lady Coco through the wormhole to add her cuddling to all the others.

PT I feel helpless! I really do. Its scary, really scary. I know my company is NOT happy about this at all. I pray I will have a job to go back to. It scares the S**T out of me. I am frustrated with FF too, he is so positive I want to slap him. He's like: "Ok, you have a date. Make a plan, prepare and just do it". Don't sit around and think about it and worry about it, it won't change things. Live life and move on." Oh ok, that makes me feel all better. HE told me not to be all negative. But I AM scared!

Can you have a heart to heart with FF and tell him that while you appreciate his positive attitude, it would really help you if he could just listen to your feelings without judgment. It would really help you work through them. {{{hugs}}}

And Amy, guys are all about "handling" the problem, but not really feeling the problem... esp in his line of work, I suspect he has learned NOT to think worst-case scenario - how else could you deal with some of those fire scenes?? You would be silly not be a little or a lot scared - it is a scary thing to contemplate. But You are STRONG! You have proven that... And if your company tries to dump you, you file a lawsuit against them for wrongful termination! And the whack-bonk sticks will come out in force to back you up! I still haven't had a chance to break in my nice purple, green and gold bead-studded one.... *sigh* gentle hugs!

Who the heck wouldn't be scared to have to undergo a second brain surgery? You are the heart of your company--they will remember that. And NC is right, they wouldn't want a wrongful termination suit and a bunch of ninja whack bonk stick weilding crazy cat people to storm the office. Doesn't help you feel less stress I know, but just picture the TDK group enmass in your office--it is a picture that can bring a smile.

Ditto what Jcat and Gini said! (I'm such a plagiarist!)

Amy, I am so sorry to hear this. This must be so hard and stressful for you. But you know that all of TDK will be with you, sending love, prayers and positive healing energy. Victor and I will be praying for you. I'd send Mitzi through the wormhole, but she has developed the habit of depositing her poop right outside the box, and I don't think you need that right now! :-) As for the insurance company-a curse on them! I hate insurance companies and their souless little minds! Amy, give in to all the emotions you have, but know that we are here to watch your back and you are very very loved!

You are in my prayers, Amy. Just remember, you are in the Lord's hands. God is in control, and He will take good care of you according to His plans. Just trust in Him - He won't let you down.

There was just a story on our news last night about a woman who was cured of cancer after praying to Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos. The Vatican is reviewing the testimony of the woman and her doctors to determine if it meets the criteria for a miracle to move him to sainthood. Fr. Seelos worked here in New Orleans in the 1800s at the time of the yellow fever epidemic, caring for the sick and eventually succumbing to the disease himself. Maybe he can help Amy???

Mc, how are you doing this morning?

Oh Amy I am scared too...How could you not be!! It's sweet that FF is trying to keep you calm but think about it...there's just nothing he can do to truly alleviate your fears. He's likely not wanting you to see his fears. I want you to know you take Jeff & My Prayers with you into the OR and we both have polished our Whack Bonk Sticks and our aim is as true as can be. We love you hon and think you've been incredibly brave. It's ok to cry and fear...but only briefly because your energy is much needed for stamina and white light courage to get through this. {{{AMY}}}

I just read the last two pages of posts and here's my 2 cent's worth:
MC, if you still think you aren't the miracle kid, reread your post about what your poor little body went through while your mother was pregnant with you. The fact that you survived and have continued to survive is absolute proof that someone somewhere knows you have a place and a purpose here on earth.
So far as FF being 'too positive', think about how most men (not just firefighters) react to this kind of problem. They clam up, they withdraw, they don't know how to deal with it so they just don't. FF is sticking by you - I interpret that to show that he really really cares for you.
Ask your NS if his staff has contacted your insurance to start the process of getting you an earlier OR in the non-PPO hospital. I suspect that his staff will fall all over themselves for you now since the NS was pretty PO'ed with them before. The insurance company may take too long to approve it, and you'll end up in your own hospital on the 18th, but there's always the possibility you might get moved up.
If we send kitties through the wormhole to watch over you while you are in surgery, do we need to put little scrub suits on them? Sneakers doesn't like face masks but he'll wear one for you.

Oh bloody hell, I hate being the wrong side of the Atlantic! Molly, I hope you can feel the hugs and prayers coming from over here. I expect to come traipsing across the pond for many years to come to visit you (and eat at SweetandSavoury again!), so everything just HAS to be alright. I'm so glad you have FF. You know what blokes are like, they like to have solutions to problems, and if something is beyond their control they button up and bluff it out. I bet deep down he's just as scared as you, but doesn't want you to see it because you need a rock right now. He's a good guy, and good for you.
Big {{{HUGS}}} my friend. Stay strong xx

I am afraid with brain surgery all the TDK kits will have to wear little scrubs, tennis shoes, a little mask and hat. Today it seems even more unreal that I am having surgery again. Everyone at work was in awe and didn't know what to say. My insurance has approved surgery but since it is a a second neurosurgery it has to be at my provider hospital. Go figure, who knows what insurnce companies base their decisions on???

MC, please don't cry your eyeballs out! After all I've done to keep mine in my head this week, I now appreciate them more than ever. You ARE the miracle kid. I read everything about you but often can't write. There are reasons your story is more than I can handle but you have my prayers and that is what matters.
-
Oh Lisa now I feel bad. I don't want my story to make you feel bad or bring you bad thoughts/feelings. So sorry!

Well its official. Insurance approved surgery. Hip Hip Hooray! (ok, that was said sarcastically). I am set for 1pm CST. They say it will take at minimum 2.5 hours. The surgeon booked the OR for the rest of the day because he isn't 100% sure what he will find when he opens me up.
