Pur early nightly news said the military commander has confirmed the gunman is NOT dead... wounded yes, but still alive.
If he stays that way, we may eventually find out why.

Disturbing article, the Major had problems with soldiers who supported U.S. wars even while in medical school and while stationed @ Walter Reed Hospital. As a retired soldier, I damn sure wouldn't want some doctor who didn't respect my serving my country and is supposed to be helping me heal while in recovery...sigh. One of the interviewees did say he never spoke badly of soldiers but the resentment had to come thru his treatment, in my opinion.

He is in the hospital right no, which i don't know. I think it is the Military Hospotal Darnell.
I been listening for anything that has since last gone on. I went out last night, there is this resturant down my street he always went to. Everyone there knew him, and he went to the gas station across from that. so they knew him to. Everyone was in shock. They all said he was friendly, and they would chit chat all the time. When they saw that, they were very surprised.
I was watching the news this morning, they had said that because he was Islamic, that the soldiers in the Military were always giving him a hard bout it and with facing deployment, I guess he lost it.
Yes it is very wrong what he did. I think that is some sort of reason behind it. There could be more, I am not sure. That's what I heard so far. I am trying to look more into it.
Leeny, it depends on what the person signed up for and what they are getting back from it. If this Doctor had the military pay for his education, it was for awhile depending on the length of training. Normal enlistment is 3 yrs without extensive training (i.e., 18 months or more), but again it depends on the contract between the military and the person. Then there is the time after they leave the service that they can be called back if needed by the military, depending on their job title and/or experience.
