  1. This has been so horribly sad...so glad that the new mayor is seeing to it that many changes are made...

  2. Truly...People need to go back to school and learn the meaning of the word 'Shelter'. I agree...I'm happy there's a new Mayor and have to believe he'll step in here and do what's right. Thanks Dee.

  3. Thankfully, people from across the country are helping out with this one. That shelter turned into a house of horrors for those poor animals.

  4. The 24 hour webcams are an excellent idea and one that should be implemented at every shelter in the country. Not only would the animals be guaranteed decent treatment, but people might fall in love with a pet on camera who might never have gone into the shelter. It would also make it easier to find out if a missing pet was at a particular shelter.

It wouldn't have to cost very much after the initial purchase of the camera's. There are always people willing (or court ordered) to do volunteer work so there should be a constant supply of people willing to keep the websites updated as well as making sure there were pictures of the animals currently at that facility.
