Morning! Afternoon! Evening!
Can't stay, but had to say hello. Maddie is waking up..she got up at 6am to use the potty and I put her right back to bed..lol
It was 71 here yesterday and going to be about 70 today..so enjoying this weather. I am making my list for Christmas, what I still have to get and I have to buy more Christmas cards. I can't send a lot this year and I do apologize....2 kids...Christmas..holy cow...lol.
I have to share..yesterday I had the girls outside and Maddie was running around and she ran to a pile of leaves and said, "Captain Maddie is on the case, looking for the perfect marshmallow stick". I died laughing...where she got that I don't know. It was so funny and cute.

SLEEPY this morning! After a gloriously sunny and warm weekend with friends and raking leaves and putting the front garden to bed for winter.
I've applied for a high-level volunteer position in my SCA group. It would be the person in charge of newsletters and publications for the Midwest area. I've done newsletters on a local level, but never been a bureaucrat at the kingdom level. I'm a little nervous, but I feel I can do the job and do it -well-. Not sure when I'll find out if I'm accepted or not, but it should be soon.

Had a nice weekend getting things done and mixing some lazy time and kitty play time in too. Don't know if I mentioned this, but when Leela is concentrating on something like intense play or reaching for something under the couch, she grunts/hoots. Glad Hermes had a good birthday. I hope LK did as well. CM, Maddie is too cute - what a fun age!I can't believe it's Monday already. The weekend flew and I barely got to see GG. He had hockey on Friday night, a party on Saturday afternoon/night and saw a friend on Sunday who's in town and leaving today. I finally got to see him last night. We hung out, relaxed and watched a movie while having dinner. He said he didn't mind the weekend being over, because he doesn't have much going on this week and will have more time to spend with me.
Yesterday I hung out with XBF. He's a bit down in the dumps, so I went and played tennis with him and then we went for lunch and watched the Dolphins game. It was nice - would have preferred spending time with GG but at least it was something to do.

Yep, I felt bad for XBF. His ex-wife came back into town and moved back into the house. XFB couldn't deal with living with her and ended up moving in with a friend (my boss from the production company). So now he's living in the guest room there and looking for a place to live. he has money trouble and he and his girlfriend just broke up, too. He's a nice guy and doesn't deserve having to deal with all of that. -
Just getting a chance to say hi today. I was a little late to work today. Then I had to tell a few of my co-workers how my weekend went. And then I had to get my morning work done. We had lunch and just got things cleaned up from that. So I thought I'd better at least stop in and say hello before the rest of the day gets away from me.

Hey everyone. Sorry it took me so long to get to the cafe today. Still really busy at work! How about an afternoon pick me up? A latte or something chocolaty would be good.
It's a bit of a bummer, but I found out our receptionist is leaving at the end of the month. She just got married and is going to work at her husband's company. Fortunately she is staying in town so hopefully I will get to keep her as a friend. I hope we can find someone who is as good and friendly as she is.

GD, I had a wonderful birthday. On Saturday I met my niece and her family and we went shopping. And on Sunday I didn't do anything but relax, watch TV, and pet the cats--the most important thing of all!

Evening all!..... enjoying a nice glass of pino grio, waiting on Daughter, who is driving in from UCF.... she and her best friend are going to the CMA's tomorrow, and fly out at noon tomorrow....Taylor Swift is one of her favs (and happens to be a dead ringer for her twin).....
... nice of her to give us parents 1/2 an evening! LOL
... Abby is sitting here looking at me with "whiney" eyes, begging for a treat "no, honey - you've already had some today and you're loosing your girlish figure".... LOL
.... office lunch turned out great today, enough left overs for dinner!

OOH! How nice, daughter coming for a visit AND getting to go to the CMA's! Yum, its always nice to have yummy leftovers to warm up. Abs, my girls can so relate, they don't understand why they can't have treats 24/7

LOL, AV be pleased it was 1/2 an evening, sometimes we get even less than that. Then again Meegz and A-man do have their own lives.
Sorry about disappearing, my phone and of course my puter link suddenly disappeared. Telecom workmen were repairing a noisy line and I haven't had either for several hours. My new garage door are all installed and look great, now we just have to paint around the door frame where the old hinged doors were.
