  1. Well let's celebrate Bob's good health! The seafood bar is open! The tuna is devine!!! Grilled medium rare is the very best--it is after all sushi grade tuna!! Don't forget the jumbo grilled shrimp and steamed stone crab claws! The butter is fresh drawn. The fountains are bubbling with a variety of beverage choices! I suggest a toast with champagne!

So pull up a chair, pet a kitteh, and share your day whether it is just beginning or just winding down....

I'm trying to push myself to write a 50,000-word novel by the end of this month: it's National Novel Writing Month, and the goal is to write a 50,000-word novel during the month of November. So far, I have 5251 words and counting; if I did the math right, I should be at 15,000 words by today. Somehow those 9749 missing words that should be on the page in order to keep me on track are hiding from me. Sushi tuna with a glass of lambic sounds good right now.

  3. Awww, a Bobby night shift! Thanks, SM! I'm going to tell the little guy - he'll be so excited!
I'm hanging out at GG's waiting for him to get off the phone.

  5. Hi all! Leela is in front of me, following the trail of a ladybug flying around by the light.

  6. Cheri have you ever tried the gluten free bread? I use that and gluten free pasta. Sometimes it is hard to find, but I have a hard time with bread of any type. I love rice cakes though.

  7. Joan sounds like Leela has this evening entertainment wrapped up!

  8. no, i did not know there was such a thing as gluten free bread or pasta. i use zucchini for lasagna noodles and romaine lettuce leaves for sandwiches.

  9. It's all fun and games till the human gets clawed - then again it's still fun and games for the kitteh! We were playing a game of you-can't-see-me-under-the-bedspread-even-though-my-butt-is-hanging-out and I was slow. Leela=1, Joan=0

  10. Deuter and Teaser played that game yesterday. Deuter coughed--that is putting it mildly--the worlds largest hairball on the down comforter. It can't go through another wash, it is falling apart. So hubby threw it out and went a new route. A down alternative comforter--I am allergic to feathers and he thought this would be better for me. And he bought a beautiful furry blanket that kept me toasty. So last night when we put it on the bed Deuter and Teaser were helping.

  12. Good to hear that you are speaking with your mother.

  13. Peeks in to see if anyone is awake, hmmm I do hear sounds of soft snoring in the corner, tails swishing slowing back and forth and the music playing faintly in the background. Turns the lights down to a low glow, gathers up an older kitty to sleep on my lap while I rest my eyes too....better than any sleeping pill that I can think of.

  14. Cats are trainable — and that’s not a punchline

  15. Seems that most have turned in for the evening or just slowly getting up to start their day, let it be a good one no matter the time or place :)

It's 3.15 am here in AZ, ... cool to nice in USA (the AZ sky is filled with stars this evening) and the nights are getting cooler in NZ ..... it's be time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

  16. Hmmm, resting my eyes with a kitty on my lap sounds good, think I might join you, Deb, just for a moment... been a tiring day and I'm not even entirely sure why...

  17. JCAT, evening my friend, I go with the excuse of being tired as 'just cuz'.

  18. Tee hee, I like that one, Deb! Nothing to report from little old NZ, it was almost a nice day here -- bit too windy and overcast to be really lovely. My day was busy but dull... how about you?

  19. Late here and I'm drooping over the keyboard, off to beddy-byes I go. Night, Deb, sleep well, smooch those crew members for me!

    Have a great day, everyone!

  20. Windy here too, tried to sleep but just couldn't for who knows why....could be that I was caught up in watching Season 2 of Six Feet Under, an addicting show I am finding. The birds were all hanging outside, they have figured out that I do feed them and leave water in bowls too.
