the shots arent helping :-(TKN

  1. Well I have had a headache for 2 days now, not as bad as the ones I had been getting but still enough to make me nauseus. I took some phenegrin before work and drove in even though I felt really bad. By the time I got to work my mouth and throat were tingling and itchy. So I went and talked to a nurse and went to the er to see the doc. The doc on duty is a great internist, and she didn't think I was reacting to the meds that it was the pain and sent me home. So I got home and took the stronger painkiller I got from the pain doc.
    I have been naping on the couch since I got home and still have the headache, but was able to eat a third of a bowl of chicken soup. My dogs really love chicken soup btw, lol.
    So now I am watching conan and cuddling with buster and thinking of taking a shower soon.

    Oh and I did call the pain doc but wasn't getting an answer which is weird causw they always answer the phone, hopefully I will hear from them tomorrow.

  2. Oh, TKN, that stinks. I hope they can give you something that gives you some relief tomorrow. Hope your little feline and canine nurses can give you lots of cuddles to help a wee bit, too! {{TKN}}}

  3. FM and Harry have been keeping my belly warm. Sweets has also been super cuddly. Tita and meimei have been super good too and just got chewies. Now FM is smacking me in the face with her super fluffy tail...

  4. Aww, it sounds like they are doing their very best to look after you. A tail in the face is not my favourite thing in the world, but I try to remember it's a sign of affection, lol... A super fluffy tail would definitely be more fun... like being tickled by a feather duster...

  5. Well I am going to bed as soon as I convince meimei to get off of me. For some reason I can't convince her (she is my 50 lb lab mix) that cuddling doesn't mean she has to be ontop of me. Maybe she has been watching the cats too closely. But then again my cats and dogs do get along really well

  6. Tee hee, I am resigned to Jasper sitting on me but he's not 50 lb! I have a friend with a lab called Toby and I do love him but he knocks me over on a regular basis... Sleep well and sweet dreams!

  8. I was checking in before work and saw this. TKN I am hoping that your pain doctor has already called. Please be careful and let your furry friends care and love on you! May sweet sleep come and allow you a moment respite from the pain.

  11. Thank you everyone. The nurse for the pain doc called this morning. She isn't sure about if I had a reaction or not to the phenegrin, but I am seeing my PCP today and will talk to her about it. My appointment is in an hour and I still need to put sweets and hillies out to potty...

  13. Good luck on finding a cure! (Someone I worked with would get migrains. Finally found out it was due to allergies of certian foods.)

  15. well my PCP seems to think that I am allergic to the yellow dye in the medication cause it is in another med I have reacted to. SO that is one worry down. Next I have to take my blood pressure daily to monitor it and then we will go from there.

  19. TKN is there another drug you can try to help with pain that doesn't have a dye? My prayers are with you that your pain can be relieved. I am glad that you were able to see him, but I wish you were not in this pain.

  20. yes there is sm, but its much more expensive. I wish they would just leave the fillers out of the meds sometimes so that I could take the cheaper ones

  21. I'm glad your PCP found the reason for your bad reaction. I hope the doc can find you something affordable to take when your head hurts. Even better--a way to prevent your headaches altogether! {{{hugs}}}
