  1. Happy Tuesday one and all! Its another day, I am closer to surgery, and things are slowly looking up! I have enough vacation time to have surgery and not worry about no $$$ coming in. Spoke with the Physician Assistant last night and we talked a long time. It was kinda weird cause we talked like two friends not doctor patient. He was so sorry about this second surgery and because this is such a "rare" situation he is the "lead" on this and will be following me and checking in on me (of course under the supervision of the NS). He said he will be calling me at home checking in on me and documenting symptoms, recovery and ultimately outcome. Because my dad died of sedation to keep him still after surgery they are NOT going to sedate me but keep me comfy. I will be in ICU my whole hospital stay.

In that vein, let's celebrate. I have good news, Bobby is back and our family continues to grow and get closer/stronger here on TDK. For all of that I am thankful! Today the kittehs are making pancakes, waffles, crepes, omelets, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruit and drinks. They had a special delivery of lemon donuts for KK! Grab breakfast to go or join us for a little visit. Hope your Tuesday is well!

  2. Morning MC! Big hugs of support and love as your surgery draws closer. I missed about Bobby, can someone fill me in (Reader's Digest version)?

It sounds like you're going to get mahvahlous care for this second surgery, good followup, and checkups at home via phone. Most excellent!!

Four of my five orchids here at the office are actively in bloom, and the fifth has a growing flower spike. Life is good.

    LEMON DONUTS (drool).

  3. Ah, never mind, I saw the thread. YAY Bobby! What gorgeous red tummyfluff(tm). I had a 30-minute snuggle with Hermes last night. He comes up on my chest, we have a bit of petting, then his butt whomps down on my right shoulder, and he lays across me, half covering my face :-). He drools on me, purrs big, and loves to have his eyes rubbed. Normally it's a fifteen minute cuddle session, but last night he must have been a Needy Boy(tm).

  4. Morning MC and Siobhan.

Prayers are being answered for you MC and I pray that everything continues to improve and go outstandingly well from here on out. No more problems! And how are Wilma and Betty this day? Keeping you well loved I hope.

Siobhan, my goodness, sounds like you were well and truly claimed by Hermes.

My four furbabies think I'm such a mean meowmy; I keep disposing of the ladybug look alike asian beetles that are finding some way into the den. The cats are sure the critters are for hunting and catching. I already had one crashed lamp I had to repair courtesy of their enthusiasm for chasing bugs.

  5. Hi MC and Sio! MC good things are definitely coming your way. Yea~~ I will take some strong coffee with some pumpkin spice please and a nice english muffin with honey-nilla butter. Dark day today but no 'cane Ida for us in Cent. Florida. Thank you God. Praying for our AL and GA tdkers they don't get horrific flooding.

  6. LOL Marnet's four kittehs ... ours are fascinated by bugs of any kind. Hermes just loves to follow floor bugs. Tansey prefers the airborne ones. In her younger years, she nabbed a bat out of the air that was flying around in our house! We took it away from her right away and she looked SO distressed!

  7. Good morning! MC, great news about your surgery and follow-up. We are here for moral support. You are one special lady!
Marnet, my Chance loves to watch the ceiling light for any bugs that might be flying around. Needless to say, I sometimes have a cat landing on my head as he tries for a bug.
Siobhan, Chance has become needy, too. He wants my attention in the mornings when I am trying to read the paper and if I ignore him or don't give him enough attention, he starts chewing on the paper.
Will KK share those lemon donuts? I'll have two with a cup of Earl Grey tea.

  8. Morning all! Leela was not happy that I relocated the ladybug she was watching last night. We had a swarm of them a few weeks ago during a short warm spell and there are a couple left in the house that I've been trapping and setting free outside.

  9. Morning! I did a real donut run since I was craving a lemon donut...it was nummy..Maddie liked it too :) She had a chocolate covered creme filled donut but had to try mine too.
MC, I am so glad things are working out for your surgery so you can just concentrate on you and getting better. No need to worry about other things. Do you have someone to take care of the girls?
I try to relocate ladybugs too. I don't mind them at all. Cricket is the Bug Hunter..she's awesome at it. So I have to save the ones I like..lol

  11. CM, did you go to Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme? MC, I could go for some sausage, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs with cheese, oatmeal with yogurt and honey, and tea. I'm still banging away at my novel for National Novel Writing Month, and I'm wondering if I'll ever get to 50,000 words by November 30; the story's not opening up the way I need it to.

  12. Went to Dunkin Donuts Vicki..that's the closest to my house..right on Lorain :)

  13. A toast to better days ahead for Mcat & all TDKers with a jolt of java and a
Chantilly (bananna/apricot/whip creme) Crepe! Mmmm yumm...wish I really had one! May your day/nite be the best one yet this week! Toodles/back to work!

  14. Morning everyone! I sure could use a couple of donuts this morning! Any flavor would do! I actually had breakfast this morning. Country ham, eggs and toast...but that doesn't stop me from wanting a donut! Maybe later this week I will stop and get one or two!

Still trying to get ahead on my work since I will be gone for 2 1/2 weeks! My goal is to get my desk and office clean and not leave anything hanging! We'll see how well that works out for me! LOL.

I am not sure if we will buy the package for the internet cafe or not, so I don't know if I will be able to keep in touch. It is still 15 days away though!

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

  15. Thanks for the donuts MC! Plenty to go around so help yourself Siobhan and LK! CM, I'm glad you gave into temptation and did a donut run.
Got a busy day ahead of me - my manager/friend is going in for minor plumbing surgery tomorrow and we have an important job on that I will need to manage while she is out of action. And tomorrow night I am staying at her place to look after her kids while she is in hospital so I'll have to drive into the city instead of taking the train. Things are getting so busy now - on Saturday night I am going to a sold-out soccer game - a World Cup qualifier game between NZ and Bahrain. There will be 35,000 screaming Kiwi fans at the stadium and it should be fantastic. MiniKK can't wait and I am dragging MrKK along too.

  17. I know I'm early, but just want to remind everyone that tomorrow's Veteran's Day/Armistice Day/Remembrance Day. Thank, kiss, and/or hug a veteran!

  18. Ahhhhhhhhh! I'm destined to not get much time on TDK, yesterday the phone company were working on the lines so no phone, last night Airy was downloading and it took all the wavelength so I couldn't get onto the Night Shift. Today I have been conned into going to my Mum's church ladies 'coffee morning' by my hairdresser who is going to make sure her elderly mother goes! Confusing indeed. The good part is we are going to a local cafe/garden centre! ! Yay! plants. The sad thing is the day is overcast, cool and windy. (sigh)
