   Hi all!..... FINALLY have the time/opportunity to start a night shift (been a long time!)..... *drags* out fountains and *sets* up hourderves...... everything flowing from vodka to chocolate to tequila!...... Martini specials!.... there is a wine tasting in the corner!

   .... food is gourmet *tapais*.... anything your heart desires and your mind can imagine!... and it's "virtural" calories, so THEY DON'T COUNT!!!!!

   ... pull up a chair, relax on the comfy sofa and the kittehs will come running for pets!..... Now, I know we're all busy, but we can't let this time-honored tradition lapse!......I love reading the NS thread when I get up in the am!

   HOW WAS EVERYONE'S DAY??????

   .... ok, I'll start -.... new job is going well, had a GREAT Thanksgiving lunch for employees and whole office really rallied and showed up... we're beginning to get that "family" feel again, and everyone is positive!... yay!...

   .... Daughter breezed in for about 1/2 a day to only fly out to CMAs in Nashville, and is having a wonderful time!... I'm just glad she missed IDA!....

   .....ordered my Christmas cards yesturday, and they have been shipped - will start on them as soon as they arrive, and hope to have them mailed by the end of this month!.......

   ... things are GOOD in Tampa!

   Still working on my day out here in the West, but it's getting dark and time to start dinner. It was a beautiful day today . . . just right temp and no clouds. Of course, one large, grumpy, arrogant male called me a "fat-assed b****h" in the pharmacy parking lot just because I wouldn't let him jump in front of me in the "drop-off your prescription here" line. Howsumever, I was feeling really happy with fine weather and all so all I did was grin at him. Besides, if it came to comparing backsides, his was 'way larger than mine!

   Hi AV! Thanks for dragging all the essentials out to start the party! I really need to get some Christmas cards, can you (and anyone can chip in here) give me advice on a good place to get nice cards at a good price?

   Just breezed in for a few minutes. Going to attempt to take a nap, would like to watch Biggest Loser tonight, have to be up early to pick honey up at the car dealer for work on his vehicle.

   Any advice on my thread for Jetta would be welcome, too!

   And I'll have all the virtual calories you can shove through the wormhole, along with a few adult beverages!

   Lanie, I ordered my cards on line, with so many TDKers to send to, I shopped a lot of websites until I found the best "kitty" discount!.... I think I googled "kitty Holiday cards".....

   GA, I'm sorry the *Ass**e guy at the pharmacy caused a *wrinkle* in your beautiful day!.....love the weather, HATE the ass***es.... LOL

   Hi ABGV, SM, GA and Lainey! Haven't been to a night shift in awhile, thought I'd drop in. :-) Feeling pretty cruddy, went to the doctor and found out I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. My throat is SO sore, my whole body aches...does anyone know how to make a hot toddy?

   Awwwww CW!..... honey, lemon juice and a good shot of whiskey is what my Grandma made for me!.... also, like WWM always says, "gargle with hot salt water".... it's a remedy for many ailments!.... (((huggs sweetie!)))

    I think it's equal parts! a "shot" of whiskey (JD would work fine!)... 2 tlbs of lemon juice and 2 tlbs of honey!.... and I think it tastes great! LOL....

    other than that home remedy, I'd take a nice hot bath (soak) and let the steam open up my nose!..... hope you feel better!

    Evening/afternoon AV,SM,GA 7 Lainey.
    Had a lovely morning with my Mother's church coffee morning group. I felt out of place because I didn't have a cane and I was probably 25 years younger than most of the others. We were at a garden centre/cafe and I had a great time smelling all the wonderful roses and looking at the cat statues.
    Fills glass from fountain and drinks deeply, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I too spent a day with my mother (actually MIL)... whom I adore, and I have now "prodded" her into running for "office" at her subdivison HOA.... she is actually LOVING it, and now is busy, involved, and "back in life"... she's had a hard time since her Hubb died a year ago, and I so want to help her get back into living for herself!...

    Sorry you're feeling so crummy :(

    I'm having a busy week all of a sudden. Have some friends I need to see and catch up with. Need to meet up with the old transportation coordinator and set up everything for the tournament in February. Need to play tennis a couple of days and captain a couple of makeup matches fro last week's rain out. I'm dogsitting for a new client on Thursday and Friday and somehow have to make time to go meet the people and dogs first. Phew!

    AV, my landlord fogged the place last week and I havent seen any bed bugs since then. I somehow refuse to believe it was as simple as that, getting rid of them. From what I've read it's a lot harder than that. Anyway, I'm enjoying living bug-free for the time being.
    I do want to move, but I need to wait and see when and for how long the boss' kid goes to jail and see how many extra hours I'll get so I can figure out what I can afford. I'd like to be in a new place by Christmas.

    Evening all. Was reading about the memorial service at Fort Hood. Brought me to tears. The President's speech was very moving.

    GD, have you tried a cot? Not real comfortable but I doubt bedbugs can get into canvas. Still better than sleeping in your car and they aren't very much money.

    GD, I really hope that this is the end of those pesky bugs, keeping fingers crossed.
    Deb, maybe Mr Kitty is sensing something like a weather change. If it was here in NZ I'd be suspicious of an earthquake.
