  1. This shelter will do about anything to help get cats to rescues and adopters. Please send this plea to anyone you know whether in Ky or not who may be able to help. Please.

From Volunteer at Grayson in Ky.

"I spoke with bcoo today and I have never heard her sound as desperate as she does regarding the cats.
I think that the time is near, that they will have to euthanize. They are overfull and, as an open admission shelter, they have to take in whatever the city residents or animal control drops off.
Picking the ones who live and the ones who die will definitely take it's toll on bcoo, as she loves each one who comes through the door. The shelter is full, bcoo's house is full, they are out of local fosters and the situation is very grim for the cats at Grayson.
They have many, many beautiful cats there. A purebred blue-eyed chocolate point siamese named Cynthia, 5 Himalayan mix kittens, 4 Persian mix kittens, Jose Cuervo, a white male manx about 1 to 1 1/2 years old. All very friendly, all very social. There are The Beatles and The Bee Gees (all beautiful kittens). The smallest of The Bee Gees is a cross-eyed dark gray tabby that bcoo says is about the cutest kitten you'll ever meet.
If anyone can help with crossposting their cats and kittens, fostering, adopting or rescuing please, please contact the shelter at: 270-230-8839 or email bcoo at: bcootoo@yahoo.com.
If you know of anyone who is thinking about adopting a cat or kitten please have them check out the Grayson website. Transportation can be arranged!

Thank you for any assistance you can offer."
