The kitten, Grace, died on the way to the vets this morning. At least she got to know what it was like to be loved :)

I'm sorry Grace didn't make it, FF. You have such a loving, generous heart. You give so much to all the kits you care for. Grace is well-named. She was a very lucky kitten to have been found by you. {{{hugs}}}

I'm so sorry. You gave Grace lots of love and did the best you could for the little baby. Maybe that's why you found her - so she could know love during her short time in this world.

Hugs and prayers going out to you at this difficult time. Know that Grace is up at the Rainbow bridge telling all the kits about what a wonderful human she had on this earth! She is at peace now awaiting to be reunited with you in the next life!

I'm so sorry FF {{{hugs to you}}}. Little Grace knew love because of you. I admire you so much for all you've done and I am very sorry for the pain you feel now. Rest, and cry on the very broad shoulders of TDK and may the TDK blanket surround and comfort you.

The kitten yawns, her mouth stretching to show a pink tongue and tiny teeth. Her eyes blink, and then widen.
"Who are you!?" she asks, laughing into the face of the Wolf who cradles her next to his heart on the rise of ground.
"Welcome, Grace," he smiles down at the tiny scrap of fur. "Welcome to the Meadow."
The Wolf lifts his eyes, watching a tiny, wriggling kitten-rump in the bed of catmint at the base of the knoll. Grace turns in his embrace, and watches with him.
Speck and Binx tiptoe through the fragrant greenery, and Angel's head rises slowly. Parfait spots Diamond, and her whiskers sweep forward. Their eyes glow, and the tiny tails flick with excitement.
Missy makes the first rush.
Ambush! Collision! And kitty giggles fill the air as the small cats collide, hooting with joy. Suddenly they all turn to see the new little cat.
"Grace! You're Grace!"
"The Wolf told us you would be here!"
"And Mama Kitty!"
"You got here!"
The small voices rise around Grace as the Wolf places her in the pack of kittens encircling him.
The Wolf bends his great shaggy head and touches his black nose to the little nose of the new arrival. "Go!" he whispers. "Go play!"
Grace pushes her head against the Wolf. "Can I stay here? Forever?"
"Until the lady who loves you comes for you, you will be here with me. With us," replies the Wolf. "Do you remember anything?"
"I remember being warm and loved," says Grace, wide-eyed, looking up at her new friend. "And a car, and you, and a lady, and how kind she was."
The kitten shook her head. "The lady and you, you were standing behind her in the mist. And then I woke up."
"And that, dear one, is all you need to remember. Now, go play!"
There is the whoosh of tiny feet across the meadow. Grace, Binx, Speck, the Autumn Kitten -- tiny feet churning through the green grass, and small soft sounds of laughter floating back to the Wolf as he stands on the knoll.
"They don't really remember any of the hurtful things before they came here, do they?" asks one of the mama cats, settling down near the Wolf.
"They only remember the love," replies the Wolf, smiling. "That blessed thought remains, and the others blow away like mist."
The great sun pours down its gold across the greenery. The air is soft and sweet with the sound of kittens playing in the morning, in the Meadow.

FF...so sorry for your loss. Grace is no longer in pain now. I lit a candle...well...2 really. I was in the middle of typing the first 1 when Mr.Useless blew a fuse plugging in a heater that he shouldn't have. Almost blew the puter as well.
Please forgive the jumbled up one. Grace...Rest In Peace Sweetheart.
Thank You FF for keeping her from any more harm & keeping her warm & loved before she passed. -
