The more people read it, the more I'll be compensated. I would probably need quite a few people to read it to see any significant money come my way.

  2. How do they know whether someone reads it?

  3. CBM, I'll have to answer that later when someone from eHow.com contacts me. From what I understand, you have to write quite a few articles to make significant money. Perhaps this link could help: http://www.ehow.com/write.html .

  4. Good article! I gave it a high rating and will be sending to my son to help him quit-he is trying so hard, and this may help. Thanks!

  6. Way to go, Vicki! Hope it's only the first of many!

  7. Vicki I thought the article was well written and may give many people a valid hope to succeed in quitting. Did you actually smoke and use this technique for quitting yourself? I liked that a person doesn't have to buy products to aid in quitting. I rated it also and hope it helps in leading you to some monetary rewards. =)

  8. Karenopa, I smoked from the time I was 18 until I was 32, having quit once in the meantime; I also grew up in a smoking household (my mother smoked and probably still does; my little brother, now 22 years old, and I probably learned how to smoke seing our mother smoke). Finally, on the second week of December, 2003, I pulled my last cigarette out of its pack (it was over half full; that's when the subgeneric cigarettes were around US$2 a pack and the name-brand cigarettes were still less than US$5 a pack), crushed the pack, threw it in the trash can, and haven't had a cigarette since.

  10. My 10 year anniversary is next week. I was confronted by a bunch of Girl Scouts who asked me to quit. So for the Great American Smoke Out I threw out my pack and haven't had one since. 10 years and I still remember the feel and taste of a cigarette. It was one of the best things I ever did. And I agree with you--it can be done without going broke!

  13. Just checked and I gave up 11 years and 1 month ago on 24th October 1998. I remember because it was at a friends wedding. Mr MS had given up a few years before that.
