  3. NP, I love looking at those pictures. How are you this evening?

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  4. Ok, can I say I wanted to really, really stay home this evening...and its not 3 a.m. and still want to just go home....

  5. Sorry, was watching Harpers Island on the Internet as I forgot to watch it on TV tonight. Then the site I was using wouldn't let me watch the last 5 crucial minutes of it unless I waited 54 minutes or paid!!!!! Grrrrrrr!

  6. Sorry you're stuck there at work and not tucked up in your cosy bed. I'm dragging my butt off to bed now. Not sure where MS is tonight.

  7. KK, well that just bites....it wouldn't let you watch the last 5 mins, not a good thing...

  8. Bless Youtube! I found the last 5 minutes! I can sleep now.

  10. Evening, Deb, night KK, gosh I'm tired tonight. Got up early (for me) and did a lot of work in the garden as well as computer work. Waiting on things that haven't turned up -- if they don't turn up in the next day or two, I'm going to be in trouble with my deadlines. Grrrrr, grumble, grouch!

    How was your day, Deb?

  11. Peeking in to the NS office after a busy day. Took mum out to look for a new bed as hers is so old. I kid you not it was bought in 1947! ! While we were testing beds someone backed into her car. Thankfully it was only a bent number plate which Mr MS straightened. The person had left an apologetic note with name and phone number under the wiper so Mum was ringing them to put their mind at rest about the damage.

  12. 1947! Holy moley, that's 62 years! Must be some kind of record, surely ;-)

Sorry to hear your brother couldn't get his surgery today, MS. Glad the damage to the car was so minor -- glad the person was decent enough to leave a note.

  13. That surely is an old bed, or more precisely the base. The mattress on top is was replaced after 30 years! I think we gave her the idea after we got a new bed recently, she deserves a lovely new bed. KK said I have to make sure it's comfortable as she and Mr KK get the bed when they visit.
It was disappointing that our brother couldn't have surgery today but I hope they reschedule fairly soon.

  14. I hope they can get him in before Christmas, MS, it's frightening how quickly that's coming up. And still no proper spring! It was sunny today but blowing a gale here.

New beds are wonderful. I slept on a mattress on the floor when I got back from overseas and for my first few years in this house, and I never minded at all (I get back aches so I don't mind a firm base -- i.e. the floor, lol) but I do love my slat bed (when I finally got it).

  15. We had a lovely sunny day here but with that howling wind. It like the equinox winds several months late. It was darn nippy out of the sun or in the wind. My poor garden is so dry too because of the winds.
Our new bed is quite firm and my back is slowly and sometimes painfully adjusting to being straight instead of bent like the old mattress. Mr MS is finding it great for his back though and that's what counts. I got used to sleeping on the ground at Girl Guide camps and don't mind it.

  16. Ooh, ouch, nope, sleeping on the ground is a bit too much roughing it for me -- though I don't think I've ever actually done it, but it does sound uncomfortable! Never spent a night in a tent... don't even like cabins that much, they always seem to have bunk beds and rats in the walls... I am afraid I would have been no use at all in the Girl Guides, lol...

  17. I got used to roughing it as a kid, we always went camping after New Year. Back then we had tents and I still vividly remember being flooded out on several occasions. One time we ended up sleeping in a woolshed with rats scampering about in the rafters. It was all great fun too. We found a young exhausted blue penguin once on the beach after a massive storm, poor thing was on it's last legs and it paddled around in a large bowl of water for a bit before it passed away. I named it Pete the Penguin, I was 6 at the time.

  18. Evening ladies, glad that your Mum got a new bed :) I bought one when I moved in September and my back is finally adjusting to it also. Never did like sleeping on the ground, the very firm ground didn't do my back well. It was windy here with patches of sunshine peeking thru the clouds at times. Couldn't even see the stars well this evening with all the clouds, so there went my chance of seeing a shooting star while driving to w***.

MS, that is too bad that they couldn't do the surgery today, I don't like those things but the worrying while they postpone them is worse (imho).

jcat, maybe the stuff you are waiting on will come in the morn so you can work on it.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  19. Oh no, why do you have to tell me sad stories before bedtime, MS? :( Poor little thing. I love penguins.

Ewwww! The idea of rats scampering round above me, dropping whatever they liked down below, is NOT an appetising idea. Rats make me scream. Very loudly. No one else would have got much sleep that night with me in the room...

Deb, I am hoping so, and I sent reminder emails today, but I have already been waiting for a week... (Course, I should have sent reminder emails LAST week but I put things off too...)

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  20. Ewwww don't like rats myself, even on tv or movies.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  21. Just one of the reasons why I'm so fond of cats, Deb... Uggghhhhh, I know they have their place in the world but preferably that's as far away from me as possible...

  22. Sorry for disappearing, was looking for a cure for my poor rhubarb plant, it has rusty leaves.
Time for me to head off to bed and carefully move Shadz from my side of the bed. At least it will be warm for me to slide into.
Goodnight Deb and Jcat. Headbonks and chin scritches to 'The Crew' and Libby and Jasper.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. Nighty-night, MS, sweet dreams and scritches to HRH. I am going to disappear too, it's suddenly got late! Night, Deb, hope w*** is busy enough to make the time go quickly but not busy enough to tire you out. Sleep well when you get home and scritches to the crew.

Have a great day everyone, catch you tomorrow!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  24. G'nite MS, and enjoy the warmth that Shadz left for you, scritches to her in the morning.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  25. Waving goodnight to all as I turn the puter off.
