I have a 4 month old kitten with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. She's been doing really good up until last saturday when she laid on her side and meowed and spazzed and kicked to her abdomen. To me she seemed like she was constipated so I gave her a little enema and she did her business and was good for a week. This saturday she did the same thing again. So I decided to take her to the vet. He said he couldn't feel any obstruction in her bowel and he was worried that it could be her cerebellum deteriorating. I read as much as I could about CH and everything that I've read says that it doesn't change. It is hard to explain what she does, but if you try to sit her upright, she screams. When she's laying down she will scream every once in a while. I just want to figure out what is wrong with my little one. If she doesn't show any signs of improvement I'm going to have to euthinize her. All she will do right now is lay on her side with her back feet tucked in. Please Help. Thanks.

Prayers for your little one... Cats with CH can live long happy lives and I hope that your baby will be OK.
Google Cerebellar Hypoplasia if you haven't already. I think there are web help groups dedicated to this. keep checking in here as there are many folks here who may have some good advice for you. All the beat to you and the kitty. -
How severe is your kitten's case of CH? Has your vet checked for any separate conditions that may exist, such as digestive problems? Does your kitten walk at all, or use the litterbox on her own?
When she's lying down, can you tell if she's meowing for attention, or is there a note of genuine distress or discomfort? Does she sit up on her own?
