  1. her name is Spice. apparently shes just come to the realization that Velvet is not coming back.

shes always been an attention hog - now shes a cling-on. she must be with me, near me, me touching her 24 hours a day or she pouts by turning her back to me.

i love her, i pet her all the time. i play with her. i talk to her. it is not enough. and she doesn't like other cats. and it's too early for me and it's not the right time with me not back to work.

what can i do for her so she doen't drive us both crazy ???

  2. Poor Spice. Just do what you can to comfort her - keep playing with her, loving her, petting her. I remember how Maverick mourned after Sebastian died. I think as hard as it was on me, it was even harder on him because that was his brother and his friend and they were together all day every day.

  3. Just love her is all I can suggest, her grieving period seems not to be done yet.

  4. lydia was like that after kizzykat passed away.. it took lydia about 6 mos to get over kizzy's death.. just love her and play with her let her hug and lick you .. poor kitty, she is still grieving and will need time... you maywat to get some feliway and it willhelp relax her that really helped lydia ... poor kitty give spice a kissy and hug for me.. just love her she's sad and lonely.. let her know she's okay and everything will be allright...

  5. Poor, Spice. She's just feeling so alone that she needs you to comfort her. Both Chance and Smudge seem to be a little needy lately, too. I talk to them and stop what I'm doing to pet them a little to show them that I'm not ignoring them. Then I return to what I'm doing and they are satisfied for awhile.
