  4. Boo on the cop for kicking it, though.

  5. I agree, Kilroy, no kicking allowed, but it sure didn't stop the kitten. He is a little sweetie and could climb on my anytime.

  6. GIVE ME THAT KITTEN!!! I would love to have a kitten supervisor sitting on my head and I could once again play the "office mouser" card.

  7. I don't think the officer actually kicked the kitty. I think he just used his foot to push the kitty away. I've done that with mine sometimes when my hands were occupied, but it was just a nudge with no force behind it. I think that's the difference between kicking and nudging. That's why the officer told his supervisor about it.

I'd love a kitten on my head again, too. It's been a long time.

  8. "Can I help you write the ticket? Can I help? Can I, can I, please....?" :) Definitely adorable kitten.

  9. What if the ticket had paw prints on the place where the officer was supposed to sign it? Would it still be legal?

  10. I can't believe the cop kept a straight face. He must not have a sense of humor at all! I mean, how many times does one come across a kitten wanting to climb on your head while writing a ticket out.
I say boo on him for no humor!

  11. You know, if there was a clear still photo of the kitten on top of the officer's head, that would make a perfect picture for an LOLcats caption.

  12. That has lolcats written all over it! LOL

  14. From the local paper, it happened in the town in which I work. Did the Fox story have the name of the officer? I swear it's true: his name is Keith Urban! If you don't believe me, check out the story I posted from the local paper before I realized it had already been done--and on a nationwide source!

  15. Loved it, made my night! Go kitty!!!!

  16. I keep watching that video over & over. It's incredible therapy for needing a good laugh. I loved the way the little furball zooms off into the field after annoying the h**l out of the cop. What an adorable kitty. He reminded me of the "Simon's Cat" videos.

  17. As humorous as this video is, I feel sorry for the cop. Given how many officers are wounded or killed every year on what start out seeming simple traffic stops, any officer doesn't dare get distracted or drop their guard when writing a ticket. Police must stay in control of the entire situation at all times and their attention focused on the occupants of the vehicle and to all external potential threats to ensure they live to go home to their families at the end of their shift.

Yes, he rather launched the kitten well away with his foot several times, but it doesn't look like he really kicked the kitten, merely lifted and moved said persistent critter. The whole scenario, adorable as the kitten is, says a lot about the inherent risks of even the simplest appearing police tasks far more than whether the cop had a sense of humor or likes cats.

    That said, it WAS funny.

  18. How sweet! What a friendly kitty. That kitten would do wonders at a senior facility. So personable!

  20. Didn't even have to call...here kitty kitty! Thanks 2BPurring!

  21. BTW - this kitten looks like my Miss Leela, complete with the pink collar!

Posted 4 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  22. I was wondering about that pink collar. Everyone on the video refers to the kitten as "he"; I wonder if they're sure about that?

  23. There are police dogs--this little guy wanted to be the police kitteh! He is determined and not distracted from his job--he might just be the best cop ever! 2BP can your hubby put him on the force?

  24. I have an idea: Send the kitty to Seattle and release him/her into the woods to look for the barefoot felon who makes his mother so proud. The kitty would be very good at stalking and tracking, as well as highly persistent. The crook would also have a hard time pulling off his heists with a kitten on his head.

  25. I saw this on the news last night--LMAO!

  26. Ya gotta admit, one happily persistent kitten being ultra affectionate. Such a cutie.

Posted 4 months ago by Marnet #

  27. Kitty just loves tall men in uniform...from their tippy toes to the top of their head! :)
It looks like the officer may have even aimed the camera at the kitty as he was leaving, getting a good shot of it zooming thru the field happy as can be.

Joan...kitty does look like Miss Leela. :)
