Fabulous or frightful? What do you think of Alexander McQueen's monster shoes?

  1. Don't think I could run for my train in those so I won't be buying any. Also they don't make them in green.

  2. Frightful, hideously frightful in fact. Just waiting for the first news report of broken ankles/legs/arms from a wearer.

  3. Oh, they are horrible. They look like some sort of giant alien fungus growing on the poor woman's feet...

  4. I think they are ugly, too. My first reaction was, how did that women get both of her feet stuck inside of water pitchers?!

  6. One thing's for sure, having loads of money doesn't guarantee you have any taste...

  7. Those are the ugliest things I have ever seen I think!! I'm sure they cost a bundle--maybe we should send Daphne a letter and tell her we could put the money she spent to better use by having a giant TDK get together! :0

  8. WTF?! I've seen exotic dancer shoes that were daintier than those monstrosities!

  10. The shoes sure don't look very comfortable, let alone being able to walk in them. Can you imagine what those would do to your feet and your leg muscles!!

  11. LadyKat, those are not walkable shoes; those are shoes designed to be worn while sitting at a cocktail lounge or in a boudoir, or standing up (and not very well designed for either).

  12. I'm pretty sure you have to break both ankles just to get your feet into these...

  13. I saw these a while back on Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model. The poor girl who had to wear them could hardly stand for the photo shoot ! Ugly, senseless...

  14. The dress is as hideous as the shoes! I'll just stay old and out of date--and able to walk!

  15. Gosh, I hope nothing died to make these shoes! They are ugly, dangerous, and make the wearer look like a brainless twit.

(Of course, I could order a pair for my former mother-in-law........hmmmmmmmmm)

  16. It is too bad that much of the fashion industry caters to making women look hideous! Plus those shoes are bad for your feet! Women grow up thinking they have to look a certain way/including footwear without even a thought to how their body will be by mid-age/older!(A thump on the head to this look!)

  17. My first thought was, "Wow, that's what the Elephant Man's feet must've looked like!" Just plain stupid if you ask me. Did anyone else read the comments? One person asked if they made these in Clarks! :)
