Here we go! Its the big day! I wanted to get up early and have my last hour of clear liquids as surgery is still nine hours away. I have a large bottle of water next to me and I am chugging it down. For the rest, a full buffet of treats and pasteries, meats and eggs, fruits and yogurt. Hot coffee, tea, cocoa, juice and milk! Come join us, I am gonna sit in the corner so as not to be tempted by the food! Happy Wednesday!

I'm so sorry to see you have a headache from the NS shift. Hopefully, today will see them off FOR GOOD! The only headaches you will have to worry about in the future are the ordinary kind that everybody gets -- I want that so much for you :) (Not that I want you to have ordinary headaches -- ack, I betcha know what I mean, lol.)

Thanks everyone! I am open to hugs and all the good vibes I can get. Remember to send the kits thru the wormhole to be in surgery at 1pm. We have 100 pairs of kitty scrubs ready to go. Wonder which one is sitting on the surgeon's head and shoulders to be "supervisor"?

Aww thanks Vicki that is so kind! My girls would love that, they miss their kitty friends. Jasper, its ok, you can sit on the surgeon's lap and hand him instruments!

By the way, I've reported that annoying spammer...
Libs is such a stickybeak, I am sure she would like to watch but I think I will make her stay in the surgical gallery or she might get over-excited and try to help the surgeon...

Morning all!..... best wishes for a speedy, successful, and stress-free surgery today MC!.... thanks to w**k, I won't be able to follow the process today, but will anxiously log on when I get home..... My thoughts and prayers will be with you during the day!..
MIL had her eye surgery yesturday (lens replacement) and she is doing superb!... Doc told her she wouldn't even need glasses when all is said and done!.... oh the wonders of modern medicine!.... I'm so happy for her!....
... Kilroy, scritches to Georgie, Hi to CM, Sio, Vicki, Jcat, Shelly and Jadette!...... heading to the shower, then off to work....

Amy, my cat Even will help supervise, as well; he's the official chaperone here, and feels he must insert himself directly into the middle of whatever human activity is going on. Right now he's sitting next to me on his perch above the printer, watching me at the keyboard. (Until I made the perch, he'd sit between the keyboard and the screen!) He also makes sure nobody ever goes to the bathroom alone.
And my cat George's fascination with running water will help ensure all the surgical staff wash their hands thoroughly in prep.

Chance, on the other hand, will be anxiously looking for something to do. This morning Chance must not have liked the way I did my hair: he got on back of the chair and started grooming my hair. I told him thanks, but I liked my hair the way I had it.

Hugs and prayers heading your way from Michigan! I have sent notice to Rainbow Bridge for RT to come by the surgery room. She was compelled to supervise EVERYTHING - litter box cleaning, bed linen changes, furniture re-arranging, Christmas decorating - all was done under her watchful eye. She would even cover up the litter after the boys if they didn't do it to her satisfaction! That cat ruled the house with an iron fist. She will keep those doctors in line.

Morning everyone, especially MC!!! Have to be out and about this morning so will check in when I can. May the surgery staff feel the strength and prayers being sent by the TDK family, and that their skillful hands and talents be used to the very best of their abilities.
Hope that the day goes well, have to find drugs for myself and this infernal headache....ciao for now...
