I'm so sorry Alicia. This is sad news indeed and I'm glad you're able to go and visit with your mom. Cancer sux! Prayers and white light to you and your mom for courage and strength. It's nice that you have Karma Daddy to hold down the fort while you're gone. Hugs n Purrs to all.

{{Alicia}} I think you're doing exactly the right thing by going to be with your mom. I'm never going to forget getting a call from my parents the day after Thanksgiving 11 years ago (I had just gotten a new job and had to work the holiday). They called to tell me dad had cancer, but that I shouldn't come to see him "just yet". He was gone by Christmas, and I never got to say goodbye. So go, and know that we go with you.

creating special memories especially at this time. Both of my parents passed from Cancer and so it is best to be there for your loved ones now! -
Oh Alicia, I am so sorry. Before you get on a plane, go get a video recorder and set it up and then sit with your mom and get her to tell you her family stories, memories, everything you can think to ask her. Get her to tell you all of her secret recipes. Go through old picture albums and write down who is who. Find out her favorite songs. You will never regret having preserved her history.

Alicia, I'm so sorry. I know how this feels; I'm coming up on the seventh anniversary of my mother's death from metastatic breast cancer. My father, too, died of cancer much faster than was expected. My mother, though, lived for 9 1/2 years with her cancer. She didn't go into remission, and for years the cancer didn't spread; it just sat there. After 7 years, her oncologist told us that people who present in her condition, with the cancer already spread, usually don't live more than 1 year. She did.

Off South Kolb...in one of those retirement communities...
KyKatt...love the ideas but I think I might need to wait until I find out what the Dr wants her to do...if she wants to fight I don't want to put anything out there that might make it seem like I don't think she can...know what I mean...

Alicia, its nice that you are able to come and spend the holiday with her. I wish that I had spent more time with my Mom before she passed, I kept thinking I would have more time. {{{hugs for your Mom}}}
