  1. Oh dear SM, I sure hope the new antibiotics do the trick. I know all about being too short. I wonder why they didn't lower the bed for you. I certainly hope you feel better soon.

  2. SM, what in the heck is going on here? I am sorry you may be off again for longer than you wanted. It's ok to be depressed, lord knows you have had enough reason. Now what is wrong with your stomach, along with all this other stuff? Good lord woman, I don't know what to say. I hope you get well soon, back out of there and home where you belong. I am sorry for your setback. Will watch the posts. Know I am wishing you well, a recovery very soon, and a long term one, and am thinking of you. May the angels kiss you gently while you sleep. Much love, Mama Lynn

  3. Oh SM soooo sorry to hear this. Lots of healing white light and many prayers being offered for you to heal quickly and thoroughly and for your mind and soul to be at ease till you can get back to work. {{{hugs}}}

  4. NNGM...I'm thinking the same thing about lowering the bed. You'd think they would have a nurse do that.
    SM...I know all about being short. I sometimes have to scale the store shelves for things they put too high. If I were you...I probably would've just yanked the bed matress to the floor & maybe they would get the messege. But, of course, your not suppose to be doing any lifting either. :)
    Sending lots of Loving Prayers & Healing light that biotics clear your infection up.

  5. Well SM, I guess ya need to be eating live culture yogurt. If you can find kefir that would be super great. That will help with the antibiotic problems.
    :-D

  8. You will be in my prayers, SM. I am so sorry you have to endure this. I have my purple whack bonk stick ready for that nurse, if you need it!

  12. They sent a nurse to the house last night. My husband was thrilled. I have been fighting being in the hospital. Seems all they want to do is plug me into a bunch of machines and check on me a few times each day. Laying in a bed leads to pneumonia--been there too many times and refuse to lay in a bed while I have life in me. I just got through a round of antibiotics for pneumonia so I am not at full strength as it is.

    Again thank you all for your prayers and wishes.

  13. Oh SM you are one STUBBORN lady! Hahah! That's a good thing but PLEASE take care of our friend! She's precious to us! =)

  14. SM ... Just wondering how the digestive thing is going for you. I have bouts myself of difficulty moving. Are you eating live culture yogurt or maybe popping prunes *a habit I've developed through time* ? Drink tons of water too! The digestive woes can really wreak havoc with me and I'm sure right now for you it's just miserable with all you're dealing with. I bet you are missing and worrying about the kids at school...you wouldn't be such a good teacher if you weren't. Maybe you can read some good books to occupy your worried mind? {{{SM}}}

  15. On advice of TDK I bought the wonderful Fiber One Bars!!! It is the percocet that causes problems. I love apricots--not so fond of the prunes. I did read a book--then I got all sorts of idea for my kids--they will hate me!

  16. Hahaha...I've spent a lifetime trying to forget the tortures of teachers who walked into the classroom and greeted us with the words "Over the weekend I got an idea" It was always followed with an evil grin and a pause.....Yikes..that was it..we knew we were in trouble!!!!!! It's a good thing though...what doesn't kill them makes them stronger!! =D

  17. They will enjoy my next project--has to do with making models and boobys--the blue-footed type. My kids roar when Timothy discribes the booby that he sees to Phillip. That word just makes them all giggle galore! I always pull out a drawing a student did based on the book and remind them we are discussing a BIRD! I have glue, sand, shells--a book on proportions! I see fun!

    Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  18. {{{SM]]] sending the famous TDK healing white light your way, my dear! Hope you're feeling 100% very soon.

  19. SM, this is way too much to endure. Sending love and deep rumbling purrs. Anything at all I can do from here?

  20. Painkillers are wonderful things Lisa! I had to adjust and get some antibiotics and I had to steri strip the staples that were pulled. I'm home recovering.

    How are you doing? Residual swelling is a mess, I have a feeling you are going through that as well. I am hoping that you haven't had any pain.

    Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  21. Lisa...I hope your healing well from your surgery. And...SM...i just can't fathom the idea of staples in the skin instead of stitches. How do they keep from rusting (I know-I'm stupid anymore when it comes to metals)? BTW...the word boobys makes me giggle too...just like the word farts. hahaha

    Posted 2 years ago by feral #

  22. SM and Lisa...hoping and praying for your quick recoveries!!!

    Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  23. Glad to hear that you are getting better and stronger each day, SM. Lisa, glad you seem to be doing well, too!

    Posted 2 years ago by Jetta and Boo Boo's Mom #

  24. Feral I kid you not they are heavy duty staples! It looks like the kind you put in the heavy duty stapler you use around the house. I am more concerned with how they come out! I am to get them out tomorrow--that is scaring the crud out of me!

    Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  25. SM, I had staples in my abdomen 25 years ago (and you're right, they do look like they went in with a staple gun), and they came out with very little discomfort, just a little tugging, no big deal. I'm sure you'll be fine, but am sending big hugs anyway, and wishes that you have no more health issues any time soon.

    PS: SM said boobys *snerk*

    Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  26. I look at the staples and have wondered what they use--a giant staple remover? I am worried!

    Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  27. It's actually something that it a bit like a nail file and they lift a bit on each side and it's gone. Generally there is no more feeling where you are cut anyway so you don't "feel" it, per se. It's more like a very gentle pressure. You'll be fine. No need to worry, honest! (i've had several operations an know of what I speak...LOL). Back to working in the house...
