I was reading an old cat book the other day and found this list. It is pretty funny so thought I would share:
If You Didn't Have A Cat ...
1. Your supply of amusing anecdotes would dry up in no time
2. You would have to live with toliet paper that is still on the roll
3. Your feather duster could survive unmolested
4. Your nylons might last until you make it out the door
5. Your houseplants would look like ... houseplants!
6. You would have no use for the plastic milk jug rings
7. You would be forced to go vacation without feelings of anxiety and guilt about your feline's well-being
8. You would have to show up for important business and social functions without cat hair on your clothing
9. You would have to come home to the dullness of a house with no furry welcoming committee
10. You wouldn't have to keep answering questions like, "You have how many cats?" and "Doesn't your house smell?"
11. You probably would have fewer really impressive scars to show people
12. Your furniture wouldn't have that "fashionably furry" look
13. You would wake up late and be late for work
14. You'd miss out on the pleasure of locating strategically placed hairballs with your bare feet
15. Shopping in pet supply stores wouldn't be much fun
16. You wouldn't be able to leave the office early for vet appointments
