   This is so scary! The stories of the ferrets in Roseburg...it's only 50 miles from where we live. This really brings it home that even living away from bigger cities we, AND NOW OUR PETS are very able to contract H1N1. =(

   I had read about how quickly it was spreading among dogs, and knew it was only time before it spread to all animals.

   Yes, it has been found in birds, pigs (of course), ferrets, dogs and cats. If you get sick stay away from your pets, and have someone watch them for symptoms.
