Hi, BFJ, I suspect if you keep this little sweetie for any time at all, you soon won't be able to let her go! Bless you for rescuing her.
She should be fine on a good brand of wet kitten food and water to drink. The expensive things about cats and kittens are the vet bills and, like humans, these tend to come at the beginning and end of their lives. She will need shots and eventually she will need to be spayed (and it's best to get her microchipped).
After that, unless you are very unlucky, you should hopefully have a good few years with just an annual check-up and her food bills. She doesn't need expensive beds (she will decide where she sleeps) or toys (crumpled bits of paper, ping pong balls, bits of string -- don't leave her alone with them in case she eats it -- old socks stuffed with catnip and sewn shut make great cat toys). She will also need a litter tray and litter if you live in the US (too many predators for her to be safe outside).
