Hey, I am new to this site and would like to quickly clear something up so no one is offended. On my profile I have a link to a charity I am very passionate about and involved in, the saving of orangutans. Does this fall under the may frustrate people rule?

The KittenMaster will have to rule on this. I personally do not have a problem but if you have a personal site you could link from TDK to your personal site and have the link to your orangutans site prominently featured there.

I'm so glad to hear that!
I was a little concerned because I am vehemently against the use of palm oil, and I thought that may offend some. Just to clear things up: Everyone is entitled to tHEIR opinion, mine just happens to be against palm oil. :)I'm thinking about making one of those cute cat pages you have 2B, so much fun to browse through :)

I always felt it was when people asked or solicited money directly on this site that was a problem. I agree with Ailuromaniac I guess it would be a KittenMaster decision, but I think that as 2BP showed we have lots of worthy causes that we help. The problems seem to result in direct solicitation for personal funds.

Hello Disney and welcome to TDK! I love to hear that you're so passionate about Orangutangs and the Rain Forest!! Wildlife and nature seems to have taken a backseat to so many other problems in the world and I love supporting organizations who are on top of these causes. I'm a great promoter of sending messages to politicians who need nudging *sometimes battering...not literally* to open their eyes to the plights of our wonderful wilflife, rivers, forests and children of this world. I didn't realize that Orangutangs are 97% exact to human genes. Wow! Those dear creatures are near human! =)

Welcome, Disney! There was a program on the Animal channel that I used to enjoy so much. It was called "Growing Up ......." and would feature a different animal each show. One time it was Growing Up Orangutan. I learned so much and wish that I could remember the name of the preserve that was dedicated to saving the orangutans.

Thank you for all your support guys, it really is a good cause.
I was amazed when I learned just how close we are to these creatures...They're beautiful, intelligent lives we need to protect.
Oh, and yes it really bothers me no one cares about rain forests...We are killing species we don't even know exist! Ugh.
