  1. She does something really weird every time she has to poo. Peeing is fine, normally scratching and business - done.
But when she has to poop she goes nuts, running around her litter box digging like mad everywhere. Then when she finally picks a spot, she meows repeatedly mid-business like she's in pain.

She's about 10weeks old. I've been feeding her wet food and kitty treats (and a little plain tuna in seawater). Should i change her diet? I gave her a worm pill 2 days ago.

Is this normal? Does anyone elses cat do this? I'm worried...

  3. Do not change her diet, actually try avoid any dry food if you can. Wet food is so much healthier and both her and your wallet thank you for feeding it later on :)

Is the poop really dry or is it actually still moist? Some cats "dig to China" and are very talkative when doing their business. A few of the farm cats are that way.

  4. Its kinda like toothpaste and a deep dark brown... but only ever about half a pinkie worth of it at a time. I've only had her a few days.

Glad to hear it might be perfectly normal. My other cat never did it so i was wondered if it was normal.

    thank you heaps FF

  5. Sounds normal to me, as long as the result is normal and she acts normally afterwards. They all have their quirks... ;-)

  6. It sounds pretty normal. I'v never heard of cats talking while they poop but some children do..:D . I dont think its a good idea to give her raw fish though...

  7. Raw fish is fine (as a treat). Actually with feeding an all raw diet mine either get a (raw) sardine a week OR salmon oil over each meal. Remember, cats are made and designed to eat raw ;)
