  1. One of my orphans, now 7 weeks old is dying...
    I don't know what could be wrong.., she seemed fine before yesterday. She vomitted yesterday, quite a lot, but she still has some appetite. Just this morning I gave her food, and she ate almost all (prescription diet i/d). Then I had to go to run some errands. She was asleep with her 2 brothers when I left.
    The errand ran a little later, and I got back home after more than 6 hours, and there michi was, lying unconsciously in her litter box. I lifted her up (limp), gave her some water. Her tongue moved a little when I gave her water by syringe.
    I cleaned her up (with dry tissue), gave her a drop of honey (in case of hypoglichemia), bundled her up, and put her next to a hot water bottle.

    I don't know what's wrong, and I doubt that she's gonna make it. She convulses every now and then, and makes some strangled noises too...

    I just feel very sad and very guilty... Could it be that she was overfed yesterday that she vomitted? Could it be the start of it all?
    Or could it be that I was late today to feed her? Her 2 brothers are fine. They're playing chase in the kitchen right now...

    Pls pray for my michi.. If she can't get well, pls pray that she will pass soon, that she won't suffer for long...
    And when she dies, pls pray that she will see her mom immediately, and be happy with her... And that her mom, Miu will be as happy to see her...
    I love them both so much...

    Thank you

  2. Dionnewb, I am so very sorry to hear about Michi. But I'm sure it's nothing that you did, because you have tried only to care for her and to love her. I will keep Michi, and you, in my prayers.

  4. Michi seems to be struggling to go... She's been crying (in pain, I think) with every breath she let's go...
    I keep telling her that it's OK to go, and that her mom is waiting...

    Searched the web just now (with my mobile, as I'm sitting right beside michi right now), and I think it might be the fading syndrome...

  9. So sorry, Dionnewb, but she has followed her own path (you know, 'michi' is 'road' or 'way' in Japanese) and is at the meadow now with the others who wait for their two-legged family. You did what you could for her, but sometimes it's just not meant to be. She knew love and is grateful. {{{Dionnewb}}}
