Awww, sweet Leela, taking care of her big angel brothers.
We're not hosting Christmas dinner (thank goodness! We did T'giving), but I'm contributing a salad that's similar to SM's, and we'll bring some sort of dessert.
Apologies if the updates on my stomach are too much, but I just managed to eat a fried ham & egg sandwich with cheese, and my tummy doesn't seem to mind. YAY!

I just popped in briefly to let everyone know that I'm not sure how often I'll be online until either I get my computer fixed or until I get a new computer. See, in a delusional moment, PH severed ALL the cords to my computer; I am at a library computer, and the limit is one hour at any terminal. His reasoning was that he wanted to spend more time with me and wanted me to love him more. I can't leave him; I have $8 to my name and nowhere to go. Sorry to bum you all out.

He cut the cords? Well that is mature! Vicki you know you deserve better. Finish school and you know you will make it on your own. What cords do you need replaced--I have several and may be able to help on that end--finally my obsessive behavior is actually paying off!

Let me put it like this: the only thing still usable is the CPU itself, and I'm not fully certain if that will still be there when (or if) I get home. He cut the mouse cord, the speaker cords, the printer cords, the monitor cords, and the power cord. He doesn't want anyone fussing @ him, but he does $#!t like this and doesn't get that pulling stunts like that will cause people to fuss @ him MORE. He doesn't want people to treat him badly, but he doesn't get that he needs to respect people and their property. He wanted a change in our day-to-day life: he got one, only he made things WORSE. Then he says I need to get back on my anxiety medicine. Um, NO; that medicine made me not care about life. I can overcome anxiety through nonchemical means; chemicals didn't make me anxious, and chemicals can't fix my anxiety. If anything, HE needs to get HIS medicine adjusted; he claims (during the few clear moments he has) his disorder is schizo-affective disorder; I now know it's paranoid schizophrenia. SM, it'll take me a few months to pay down my student loan to the point where it will no longer be in default so I can actually go back to school during summer sessions, so it's gonna take me a long time to make it on my own. I wish I could set up another ChipIn event right now, but the Kittenmaster has suggested we not post ChipIns. I'm truly stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Hi everyone! Finally popping into the cafe. Hi to all who have come and gone. I have been busily baking cookies to take to my sisters. I made chocolate chip and sugar cookies all decked out in sprinkles! My boss showed up at work today and I couldn't get out to save my life. She even grabbed her coat and followed me to the car. When I realized there was about three inches of snow on my car and I didn't have my ice scraper she ran to hers and did it for me. OOOH! We are getting a big snow today, was supposed to stop about 6 hours and three inches ago, guess not. I will have some of whatever Leela recommends.

Leela recommends the nip-cakes, until an agency kitty takes over and recommends rum-balls and explains that humans don't seem to like nip. Why? Not a clue.

In Asia, they drink catnip tea. So who knows, maybe the nip cakes are yummy. CM, we were 'supposed' to have rain too but it came as SNOW

The weird thing is, it wasn't in the paper and I haven't been able to find any reporting about it (I did get a funny search result: when you Google "explosion" and "8th Avenue" the first thing that comes up is a New York Times article from 1901!). I'm sure it had something to do with underground power lines & cold weather, but it was pretty dramatic. I hope nobody was walking nearby when the manhole cover blew off.

Glad Georgie is ok! (Oh and you too Kilroy and Mr. Kilroy! :D ) I must say my head does hurt a bit today but I blame it on the snow and cold, windy weather. Oh and the fact I slept about 1.5 hours last night. Maybe I will have those nip cakes with Leela!

{{{Joan}}} {{{Leela}}} {Vicki}}} I'm rushing in for a bit trying to catch up a bit. I *might* have some time online this evening. Wanted to say hi and hoping everyone is well. All in my thoughts and prayers as always.
